I don't know agnostic boy, but one of the signs of the approaching of the day of judgement is the formation of sects within religion.
The quran warns us about doing this and to stay united:
Of those who split up their religion (i.e. who left the true Islamic Monotheism), and became sects, (i.e. they invented new things in the religion (bidah), and followed their vain desires), each sect rejoicing in that which is with it. 30:32
yet despite the warning, you find people doing it. According to what we are told, there will be even more splitting and this is from the small signs of the approaching of the hour. If I recall,
the largest division finally will be among the muslims.

According to the site below it lists these branches of secularism. The definitions follow each number. It is tolerant of all religions and beliefs outside of religion. It also considers all equal and none is greater than the other. All should be respected and none put down.
1. Pessimistic Existentialism
2. Moral Relativism
3. Pragmatic Utilitarianism
4. Logical Positivism, or empiricism
5. Darwinian Evolution
6. Pagan Hedonism
7. Crass Materialism
8. Secular Humanism
9. Marxist Communism
10. Atheism
11. Historical Revisionism
12. Narcissism
13. Multiculturalism
14. Pluralism
15. Postmodernism
16. Political Correctness
17. Universalism
18. The New Tolerance
19. Naturalism, as opposed to supernaturalism
20. Globalism (one world government)—

Hmmm...now that I think about it, you might be on to something!
I was actually going to insult you! But then I thought about Islam...there are maybe...oh, I don't know, 5 or six forms of Shiism, and then there are Wahabis and a few other assorted whatnots from the Sunni, and a couple of that no one seems to know how to classify...but that doesn't even come close to Christianity.
Judaism has only a few schisms...
There's a few forms of Buddhism, but they don't really care that much, I don't think.
Hinduism might come close, because of all the myriad cults revering this or that deity or guru.
The other world religions are really just too small to have enough schisms to come close... I think you've hit the nail on the head!

The Bible says to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling! What really bothers me about alot of different religions in Christianity is this: They sometimes seem to harshly comdemn each other! As a Christian, I should never say: "All Catholics are going to hell!" That is a rather harsh and rediculous statement! Only one makes that decision and he is not behind a pulpit! He is in heaven! The God of heaven makes those choices! I may not agree with catholics but I should never condemn anyone in that manner! Unless I want to face the same judgement myself!

All Christians believe in the same God. Salvation in Jesus only.
Most Church's split off because of minor disagreements. Some because of major disagreements.
But all Church preach:
Jesus born of a virgin
Son of God
Crucified
Resurrected
coming again.
Salvation in no other .
If this is not the message ,they are not christian.<><

When you get down to the nitty-gritty, there is a subdivision for every Christian, manmade religion and atheist who has ever lived.
Nobody born of man has had the same beliefs or knowledge as another.

I'm sorry but your'e wrong in saying that Christianity has many divisions. There is only one Religion called Christianity. from its etemology CHRIST. Meaning a Christian is a follower of Christ. There are People saying that they are Christians, then turn to their deeds, manners and conducts if they truly follow the commandment of christ.

Any religion you study is bound to have lots of believers with slightly different variations. That doesn't mean that's the true religion, that just means people choose to vary the doctrines to suit their own needs.

No it is why many other religions don't take it seriously. Well that and the fact that everything in the religion is borrowed from other earlier religions.
Judaism has 4 and they aren't that wildly different.
Islam has 2.5 but the majority is of one denomination
nothing else is even close to the approximately 38000 of christianity.
