Yes .We do not need a private mercenary army in Iraq .
The existence of a company ,such as Blackwater ,is a
step toward a completely privatized military which is an
abomination .

99.99% of what goes on over in Iraq is completely unknown to the average American public. By the time the gears of media have crunched the real information into their version, you can't tell whether or not anything you hear is accurate. Besides, more people seem interested in unimportant events, like Lindsay Lohan getting arrested for being a drunken *****, or someone claiming to be the reancarnation of Abraham Lincoln.
No military action, by government or private company ever goes absolutely perfectly.
In World War 2, the Allies bombed thousands of civilian targets in Germany, but unintentionally.
In Vietnam, civilan losses were regular.
In the Gulf War, almost every air strike within Baghdad produced civilian losses.
Today, our enemies will murder or stage the deaths of civilians because they know that because America's public is so naiive, they'll believe any piece of botched informtion they hear on any media network.
Blackwater is no exception. They've had screwups, and even though they're insignificant to bombing houses in Berlin or decapitating captured soldiers, anybody will do anything to make them look bad.
They need to stay in Iraq at least until the Iraqis are confident that they can defend whatever Blackwater is working on by themselves.
So the answer: Yes

Yes, If not, they should be held to the same standard as those who bravely serve in the military. Although they are called a private security force, they are in fact a paramilitary force made up mostly of former military special ops members. While they do some good things in Iraq, they are too quick to shoot first and not bother asking questions. They do and have done things that no one in the military could get away with and answer to no one, but themselves.

Absollutely Not! These guys do not work under the Fed Govt or answer to the military. Civilians get killed in war, and that is just the way it is. the liberal press has little on them becuase they do not have to answer to anyone. Lets let these guys do the right job and screw the liberal dems and terrorist symphoiser and war opposers. They are actually saving more american lives with their presence.
Blackwater hires missionaries and are able to do things and go places not allowed by the military. You have to kill these animals and it cannot be done in a politically correct enviornment. There should have been no prisoners for the press to interview. We have enough problems in this country with our own home grown terrorist called the ACLU.

Yes. Immediately. Or at least have the decency to leave and change their name and come back later as a different company. It does not matter if they are guilty or innocent. In the eyes of the Iraqis, they are guilty and they are now moving targets for terrorists.
They will put their clients in far more danger now then they were in before just by wearing their uniforms and displaying their logo.

Whether or not they're actually a bad organization isn't the issue here.
Yes, they should be pulled out, because the Iraqi government doesn't want them around and told them to stop operating there. When you're the guest in a foreign country, you're subject to their laws. So yes, they were told to get out. A private company can't play the "We're with the US government" card.
Besides, they're not the only paramilitary private security company in the US, let alone the world.

I think they should bepulled out. Since their roles are to secure high officials and they being not engaged in war, their abuses might become the problem that will make the USA the most hated nation in the world.
They should be replaced with military rather than with another private security agency.

NO! They are a security slash protection force. They do not want conflict they expressly want to avoid conflict. If they are fired upon they return fire and any solider has the right to, and any human for that matter. They returned fire and it was the terrorist that hide behind the civilians and hid be-hide women and children that led to their sadful deaths. If the terrorists had any honor they would meet us out on sand dune 3 at high noon this week but they are content to attack from the safe civilian homes they occupy.

They may be "guests" of the Iraqis...but the Iraqis will then be responsible to safeguard our people ? I say the Blackwater agents be sworn into gov service, and turned loose for black ops with the intel people. At least we can be assured that any Al Qaida or terrorists they run into won't be around for long !

No, I am sure now they have a few Wyatt Earps in there midst and with 1500 other agencies like them they get the blame for all of them. Their mission is not the same as the military it is more like the Federal Marshals or Secret Service all they do is escort VIPs for the State Department. There is no other contractor that could replace them now.
