to the three who are uninformed... if the coast guard catches the Cubans on the water they are sent back to Cuba, so they have been going to Mexico first to avoid the patrols. Due to the wet foot - dry foot law if they walk in from Mexico they get to stay.
I'd say that yes they are jealous and want the same thing for themselves, personally I would rather see the Cubans not getting green cards upon arrival either.
Guason - sorry, humor doesn't always come across in text messages without a tone of voice or facial expressions. And some really don't know about these kind of things.
wet foot - dry foot in regards to Cubans. If a Cuban attempting to come to the US is caught on the water they are sent back, if they make it to land they are granted asylum. I believe that Reagan signed that one (not 100% positive)

Having worked with mexicans in Texas for years, drinking beer with them and company picnics and even bowling and softball teams.
I learned that Mexicans don't much care for Cubans. I always asked why?, And they would tell me that Cubans were uppity, and acted as if they were all related to royalty.
That was 30 years ago. I don't know how todays younger Mexicans think !!!.

i in my opinion do no longer in basic terms like the stereotype of Caucasians you're perpetrating. i grew to become into raised in a Hispanic community on the U. S./Mexico border. i'm a Caucasian female. i do no longer anticipate that Mexican-individuals or the different Latino man or woman is illegitimate. And by skill of ways, "some" Mexican-individuals used to call me "gringa" and talk in the back of my back, besides. The knife cuts the two techniques. What it boils right down to is a few anybody is ignorant, yet many anybody isn't. you won't be able to throw all Caucasians and all Latinos into racial stereotypes. It only would not paintings that way.

Well, in fact if you are cuban, and you want to have a tourist visa to enter to the USA, you have to make the tramit EVERY TIME you come to the USA.
But if you are mexican, you can process tourist visa and don't make any other tramit by 5, 10 or even 15 years.
So, for a cuban is more hard to enter into the USA than for the mexicans.

I would rather have cubans than mexicans.
Majority of cubans that come to this country
contribute more and succeed more, than the
mexicans.
I always see mexicans hang out at a corner
drinking beer every paycheck. Playing that
annoying music.
Im not gonna say every single mexicans do
that... but theres alot of them that do.
