Puppy mills supply the local pet stores with their puppies, so by going directly to the puppy mill, you've managed to cut out the middle man for 5 of those puppies.
I would never recommend someone to purchase puppy mill puppies to resell, due to the fact that puppy mills generate litter after litter using the same breeding stock or inbreeding in some situations. When you buy from a puppy mill you can't guarantee the overall health of the puppies you would potentially be selling.
That's just one step below getting a puppy from the shelter/rescue and reselling it without knowing the lineage of the pup in question or potential health issues in the future like cancer/hip displasia etc...
Worst case senerio would be that the puppy you sold got sick within the first few days after selling it, and the buyer asks for a full refund or sues you for selling a sick puppy. You don't turn a profit, you get a bad reputation, and the puppy mill is the only guy coming out on top in the whole deal. Unless of course you turn around and sue the puppy mill.

Fascinating question,
but it shows your failure in Business 101..
See, the pups at the pet store were already marked up a great deal (sometimes as much as 500% the puppymill prices) therefore you have already lost your profits in the pet store purchases.
If you are going to recommend this process of "business" to your friends, my sources say that you'll all be broke within a month.
Try reselling a hot Starbuck's Coffee for a higher price after it's gone cold, you may make more money.. and won't be contributing to the death and hardship of living creatures.

i wouldn't do that just because i love animals and don't see them as a business. But, the problem I see you having is did you get all of their paperwork? are they purebred? those puppy mills tend to have sick dogs. Your puppies might get older and out of the cute puppy stage before you are able to sell them off, what will you do with them then? I hope not give them to a shelter. People sold you these puppies thinking you were taking them to a nice, loving home. Although it is odd each place sold you so many at once..... i don't know what to think of your whole situation since I'm such an animal lover. Just be sure to not mistreat them in any way and to play with them and love them and make sure they are going to a loving home

You should NEVER buy from a pet store, who is supplied by puppy mills or from the puppy mills themselves. You are helping them keep their business open & contributing to the cruel treatment the animals are given. What you NEED to do is report the puupy mills to the police or local animal control so that they can be shut down.
Puppy mill & pet store animals are usually inbred & at risk of having genetic defects or canine diseases from the unsanitary & unhealthy way they are kept & treated. What you are doing IS wrong. As I said, you are contributing to the abuse these animals are put through.

You shouldn't support Puppy mills or Pet stores (which basically the puppies are from puppy mills), puppy mills are extremely cruel to there animals. and you are supporting them by purchusing a puppy. get puppies from a rescue or a shelter one at a time and make sure they go to GOOD homes!
and for selling your puppies. just check out the homes and make sure they go to good homes! and you should probably sign a contract with the buyers and have them agree they will not breed the puppy. (puppy's from pet stores or puppy mills are most lilkely very illy bred and may pass disabilities or other bad traits to litters. )

I agree with Tim. You are supporting the puppy mills either way. Buying from them should be illegal.
I also think you are just trying to get attention by posting this type of question and that you most likely did not actually do this. How could you afford 4 puppies at pet store prices?
Sadly, their are people out there who do treat dogs like they are flipping real estate and God will deal with them in the end.

Stop that!! If you buy from puppy mills, it just helps to keep them in business. Take good care of the ones you have though and make sure they get good homes. It is best to get them fixed before you find them homes. Don't do anymore of this kind of business. If you really care about animals at all, you will get any others from the animal shelter. This way, they won't have to be euthanized. There are just to many pups that need homes.

Honestly, yes, you are a bad person. You are supporting puppy mills. It doesn't matter how well you are placing these puppies, buying puppies from them is a mistake. How will you feel couple weeks later that one of your buyers calls you saying that their puppy just died because the puppy has health problem? It's heartbroken.

that makes you a broker. You are buying puppies from other sources and re-selling them. You are no better than the scum you bought those pups from.
Those pups did not come from a "reliable source" they all came from puppy mills. As long as you buy from these sources, they stay in buisiness.

You should be careful. I doubt you will make any money out of the whole ordeal and spend a lot of time trying to get a portion of it back. Good thing some of these people don't know where you live. I tried your website by looking up www.puppymillsofamerica.com but nothing came up. Good luck to you.
