The consequences of these kind of actions are:
Less use of non renewable resources
Less emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere
Removal of CO2 from the atmosphere (planting trees)

I will leave you to work out how they apply in each instance.

The body of evidence supports the conclusion that combustion of fossil fuels has increased atmospheric carbon dioxide in the past 200 years, and in the past 50, at an ever-accelerating rate.

In years past there was heated debate about whether there was, in fact, a global warming trend; today, it's widely accepted by responsible people that global warming, is, in fact, actually happening, so the debate has (in my view, obtusely) shifted toward whether human activity has influenced it.

Whether or not global warming is caused by burning fossil fuels seems incidental to the irrefutable fact that our (presently accelerating) rate of consumption is wasteful, irresponsible, and stupidly short-sighted, supported by the (mostly American) assumption that we have some "God-given right" to squander irreplaceable global resources.

None of the "green" activities you mention cause any harm, and in fact can be shown to be economically beneficial to society, providing new avenues for economic growth and new job opportunities.

On the other hand, energy-wasting, knuckle-dragging anti-social "Bubbas" who insist on driving large pickup trucks and SUVs are hastening the collapse of US manufacturing industries, and pressuring the market to increase fuel costs.

In addition to the activities you mentioned, another very simple, workable solution (the Bubbas will hate this) would be a national 55 mph speed limit for vehicles with GVWR over 4,000 lbs;
Bubba can still have a big, shiny gas-guzzling truck, he'll just have to drive it responsibly...

Hi, everything you can do to lighten the load on the planet is great, however, according to a well respected meteorologist,
Dr. William Gray, (he called the award of the nobel peace prize to Al Gore, "ridiculous"). Dr. Gray said humans are not the cause of the earth warming but a natural cycle of ocean water temps. related to the amount of salt in ocean water is the cause of global warming. He said this cycle will end soon and global cooling will begin the next cycle. He also stated that the amount of hurricanes lately had nothing to do with global warming.and are actually declining.

Very briefly...

Recycling - uses less raw matrials, cheaper, preserves natural resources

Joining a group - Raises awareness, can push for change

Planting trees - They remove CO2 from the atmopshere

EEE - Less power consumed so less fossil fueld burned at the power station and less greenhouse gas emissions

Carpooling - Less fuel consumption, less greenhouse gas emissions

Hybrids - As carpooling

Public Transport - As carpooling

You'll need to elaborate further on each of these points for your assignment but it should give you something to start with.

Doing anything to "pervent global warming" will have no effect. Global warming is naturally occuring and it always has been and will be. The planet is always on a rising or falling trend in terms of temperature. Right now we a currently in a warming trend. Man kind has nothing to do with it.

Even if everyone in all of the developed countries did this, it would not make much of a dent in CO2 emissions.

We would still have coal burning power plants, coal and oil fired heaters, wood burning fireplaces (esp in the developing nations), air travel, railroads, factories, etc.
