Don't think about it so much, just do it. It's normal to be nervous.

It's like riding a bicycle.
At first you fall down a bit.
Everybody does. She will too.
It's the price of admission.
The experience is worth the price.
Later you will both laugh together at your early
mistakes and awkwardness.

you said exactly what is holding you back, you're nervous, dont worry about anything its gonna happen to you eventually, just go ahead and try and experience new things and if you like your girlfriend enough and she likes you then if you make a mistake she shouldnt hold anything against you anyway, dont worry about it and just do what you want but dont be pressured into anything, enjoy it and relax some lifes too short to worry about stuff.

a stable common solo I found out early on became into to "Shook Me All evening long" by potential of AC/DC. no longer something quickly picked, frequently slides and bends. i'm no longer a huge AC/DC fan, yet that became right into a exciting solo to benefit on.

you're thinking too much and it makes you hesitate. stop thinking of what she will think and just do it. stop being afraid of doing something wrong. your girl will let you know if something is wrong, but you can't assume that you'll do something wrong because you're inexperienced. everyone started where you are. how do you think they learned? by doing, of course. so you can't be worried about doing something wrong. you learn by doing so just experiment. believe in yourself and stop thinking so much. just act.
good luck.

i think when you really love someone, it actually makes it harder to take this step, because you become more aware of the consequences....what if she hates it, what if you do it wrong....it just proves that you have feelings for her, because you are too afraid to mess up the relationship.
