I'm reallllllly into this guy. We've been dating for just over a month now, but haven't really done much other than making out because we always go out on dates to shows or whatnot so we're always in public and then we just kiss in the car. (by the way i'm 20 and he's 24)
this week (i only get to see him once a week... our lives are so crazy) he suggested i stay the night at his place. Ha... well this also means sex (I know, I know, not if I don't want to, but I do!), but this is in bad timing as I'l be getting my period!
I'm afraid of staining his bed or something... and obviously screwing up all the build-up to sex. So what, do I let him kiss me and get all riled up and then tell him we can't have sex because of my period?
What should I do/what are you thoughts?
thanks!

I thought mentioning my period would be silly... because it would totally say that all our night will be good for is sex, lol
And yea, kind of, but you don't SAY IT!!!!
We just couldn't think about other plans to do and since he kind of lives a bit far away (about 40 minutes each way) and we'll probably stay together late, I should just stay over
You guys really think I should TELL him I have my period?

Staying the night doesn't automatically mean intercourse, or even other varieties of sex---let your guy know that your period is due before you pack your overnight bag---let him know you want to be with him, but that making love could be awkward---If you and your guy are on serious terms, your natural rhythms shouldn't be a hindrance to a wonderful sleepover. Cuddling and having together time just for each other is even more important to a relationship in the long run. Gentle love is just as important as acrobatic love, and sometimes much more restful!

Hello, you sound like your thinking about sex with him, and it is going to be your first time with him. Change the date by putting it off tell next week.
i.e. I really can't stay over this weekend, but I would love too, how about making a date for next week when we can stay over at your house and spend some time together and just get to know each other away from the show and other people.
As a guy, I can tell you we men know you have a period, but we don't need to know when. So if you set the date you have the planing under control and the guy just has to wait. Trust me, if the guy wants you he will wait, and if not, he is the looser not you. your letting him know your intrested in getting to know him.
Have fun and play safe,
John, the older father type guy

Since you are both adults, you need to do the adult thing and say that you would like to spend the night with him, but cannot do so because you will have your period at that time.
If you are adult enough to want to participate in an adult relationship, including having sex, you have to be able to discuss anything.
Please make sure that you use birth control when you do have sex, it is even more important than telling him about your period.
Some men are perfectly fine with having sex while their girlfriends or wives have their period, that is something else you can discuss.
Good luck, if he is a good guy, he will be understanding of whatever your wishes are.

You have been only dating a month are you sure you want to go from a kiss to this all in one night? I think mother nature is telling you to put it off, for a little while longer.
Tell him up front that next weekend is not a good time.

If you really want the "first time experience" to be pleasant, tell him that you guys should wait until next week. Tell him it's a girl thing, and it's not that you don't want to do it with him, it's just that it's not the right time. If he REALLY doesn't get it, you can flat out tell him that you're having your period. I know it's going to be hard to control yourself, and you might really, really want to do it with him RIGHT now, but, then again, if you want everything to be nice and pleasant, it would be much better to wait until your period is over.

Since "stay the night" is a code word for the horizontal mambo, you should just tell him that it's a bad time for that...but 7 days or so from then would be great.
He should get a clue from that :)
Oh, and if you don't know him well enough to be comfortable discussing your anatomy with him...you shouldn't be bumping anatomies with him. Got me?

Why not tell him that it will be that 'time' of the month and although you are interested in taking your relationship to the next level, and would be happy to stay this weekend, the timing may not be the best.
Honesty is the best policy after all.

Tell him how really badly you want to stay. but, say that you have girl problems and that this will not work. Ask him if you can stay on a different day that is convenient. Plan a date to have a sleep over.

you've only been seeing him for a month, do you really want to give it up that easily?
get on birth control pills then think about sex. and always use condoms!
as for the period- if you two are going to have sex you can be honest and tell him you'll be on your period.
You're both adults- he should know women have periods.

If your worried about timing, let him know that ahead of time. It is much easier to take the truth, then to get down to the wire and find out that you have a head ache.
You never know, he might just have a towel or something.
