Now that I have your attention... Would Jesus not support socialized health care? Anyone here live a paradox? Are you Christian but oppose a form of socialized health care? Who's going to heaven now?

Honestly, I'm only interested in the satire... at this moment I'm not concerned with whether or not socialized health care works or not... Just the concept of it. Let's paint with broad strokes here... Thank you

Heaven is like a brass pole. It's the people and the beer that make it magic.

Jesus didnt get that involved in politics. I think Jesus would want people to be responsible for themselves and for us to be responsible for those around us in terms of charity. I dont think Jesus would find it necc to force everyone to take care of others, however. That is what socialized medicine is. It is the gvt forcing everyone to support those around them, even the ones that have the ability to take care of themselves but dont. Jesus taught charity. Charity doesnt have to mean the gvt providing. The gvt does a pretty bad job managing a lot of things. I have no desire for that same gvt to manage my healthcare. If the gvt did a worse job providing healthcare then the private system then why would Jesus want that? There is NO reason why any american has to be without health insurance for any long period of time. Make correct choices in life and you will be ok, in general. For those that do get into hard times when still doing everything they can that is where private charities and peoples families and churches can kick in and help. The gvt will make healthcare worse, not better.

Neither, Jesus is more interested in your soul. I am for socialized health care. I am from Canada and it is a good thing not to lose all your life's savings when a major health problem occurs. I find it hard to understand how the richest country in the world, the USA. doesn't provide better care to its citizens. This has nothing to do with going to heaven, it has everything to do with quality of life while on earth. Good luck to you and hope you stay well.

Unfortunately, socialized health care does not work. It significantly negatively impacts the quality of health care in general in a society.

If you could show me an example to the contrary, I'd be very interested in hearing about it.

Jesus cares only about your soul and that you live a good life by helping others. Nothing about health or wealth.

Jesus was not a socialist. Everyone in those days had to work or beg. Hand outs were given freely, not stole by the government for redistribution to the lazy breeding class.

Jesus would say give to Caesar that which is Caesars.

Mark 12:17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s. And they marvelled at him.

Jesus opposed Commie Care. He was in private practice, healing. He did not require a Medicaid card from lepers.

Isn't it amazing that the Christian conservatives are usually the people that act the least like Christians?
