I'd say 25 if they are more of an acquaintance. 50 if they are a friend. 100 if you're good friends.
As a small joke, I like to put a reminder with the gift that says "If you cannot last more than 6 months, I'd like a full refund." :P

I would not advice cash as gift. Even if they appreciate it, Human being human -- will judge you on how much you give and think they are worth only so much - NO MATTER HOW MUCH you give them. The co-worker may appreciate the gift but there WILL be others who may have given less than you and will only cause ill -feeling.
Personal items or household items is better. May be check with the wedding register. Ask your co-worker what would be a useful gift is ok too.

$25 is a safe amount for a co-worker. My brother and sister-in-law did receive larger gifts from many of her clients and superiors, but not from co-workers at her level or those whom she manages. Stick with what you can comfortably afford so that you can give cheerfully.

the ideal component to recollect whilst picking a marriage present is, whilst there's a registry in touch, locate some thing that appeals to you from that record. Say, as an occasion, there are wine glasses on the record and you be attentive to a component or 2 approximately wine so which you %. up the wine glasses from the registry and according to danger a superb bottle of wine from a interior reach wine shop. nonetheless, if there is a few thing on that record which you or your boyfriend is acquainted with they are in a position to truly use, then %. it up because of the fact there is often the possibility that somebody else won't and then they gained't get it.

$20-$30, depending on how well you know them. If possible, go in with other co-workers on a big gift.

How well do you know this person? Do you have a relationship? Is everybody just giving money? I'd get some of those answers and then decide.

You should always give what you think your plate is worth. If two of you are going, then what both plates are worth. If you cannot afford that, give what you can.
