looking for creative snack foods. Had puffed rice as a kid but didn't know much about it.

I know sugar smacks are a puffed grain of some kind but can they be made at home? Someone must have an idea how they make cereal.

No, you cannot pop other grains at home the way you can popcorn. Particular breeds of corn are used & the corn kernels are processed in a special way to make them into popcorn. Neither rice grains nor wheat kernels have the tiny bit of water in the center which will cause it to pop when heated.

OH MY GOSH!

I absolutely love that you asked this because I have often wondered if you could pop beans, peas, etc to make a random Pop-Vegetable Medely.

Dang we need to figure this out and become rich together!!
