I'm basically going for something as follows:

*porridge or cornflakes for brekkie, with milk
*fruit for a snack
*salad or healthy sandwich for lunch/jacket potato
*fruit for snack
*salad with meat - chicken, steak or something - for dinner

Accompanied by lots of water and the odd sit-up, will this help me lose actual inches? I need to fit into a size 10 costume for my job which starts in 2 weeks and I barely squeeze into a 12 right now.
I eat so much junk, if I cut it out, will it make a difference?

As for exercise, I'm on tour and spend my time either working, or sat in the van, and when I get to a hotel it's usually late and time to sleep. So I have little to no time to exercise. Will dieting like this alone help?

it really just depends on your body. i'd recommend not doing a potato. since you're not able to exercise a ton, i'd try to avoid the carbs. if u could somehow find 30 minutes to walk or jog, it would help a ton (in addition to the situps). do situps as often as possible.

These things certainly will help. I'm not sure you'll drop a dress size in 2 weeks, but if you keep this up then it will happen, just not necessarily within such a strict timeline.

Ths diet that you have planned seems very healthy. Cutting out the junk will definitely help. For dinner, you might want to consider some cooked vegetables....you might find yourself getting sick of salad if you have it for lunch, too.

If the milk you use isn't skimmed, consider switching, because skimmed milk is a lot healthier.

Make sure your portion sizes aren't too big, but are big enough to stop you from being hungry between meals/snacks.

Try to get at least 8 hours' sleep per night.

Don't eat after 9pm.

Good luck!

You need to do as much walking (at a brisk pace) as possible - ankle weights are a good addition to this. This will burn off the calories. Meals should be small and regular. A mini stepper would be a good option as you can take this anywhere and use it anytime.
