in ohio, school zones is 20 mph. in w.va, its 15 mph. when those lights are flashing, the speed limit is the school zone speed until u get out of the school zone......kids or no kids. do u want to risk a major fine for speeding in a school zone? if ur not at the school zone speed limit before u hit the beginning, in this area, u will get cited for it. the cops up here are very strict in school zones.

Every state is different and should have signs posted to inform you of the speed limit and times that those speed limits are enforced. If they do not then you need to call your local streets dept. and let them know because they are responsible for putting up those signs and maintaining them.
