They aren't lost. Many of them are available for perusal in many formats. The decisions to include, and leave out were largely based on the politics of the time.

The bible is made up of the Scriptures about the four prophets, Jesus was just one of them, that were around at the time of Jesus.
During Constantine Raine as ruler of the holy roman empire he called the council of Nicea which consisted of his most highest and trusted bishops. The idea was to combine all the books into one and Jesus was chosen as the figure head. Several books were left or altered so to make Jesus the Central character. Some of these texts are available whilst others are still being found, book of judus for example. There are several theory's as to why these scriptures were left out from that they hid some truth that the church was trying to hide to simply that they didn't show the correct message that the council wanted to portray.
As the bible became more popular it was translated into other languages and passed around, the earliest bible known is in Greek. As each translator changed the bible they translated the words into their understanding of what was put. If you read the New International next to the King James you can see how easily this is done and only a small change in one can continue into a completely different meaning, imaging playing Chinese whispers but having to translate the word between English and Spanish as it went round. Start of with dog and you could end up with sausage.

Yes, I know there is the Gospel of St. Thomas that was not included. There are many that were deemed as gnostic versions and are thought to be written much later than the current accepted gospels. There is even doubt as to who the real author of Revelations is.
Isn't a little crazy that some Christians take the bible so literally when we don't know for sure its authenticity. The books in the bible were decided by a group of men. The books were written by men. The bible has been translated from so many languages we cannot be sure the original meaning is still there. Anyone who has studied foreign language knows when you translate you always lose a bit of the original meaning. I'm not trying to bible bash, just saying everyone should keep this mind while reading it.

Well if the Bible is not inspired by God, then how could you claim that the books that were excluded from the Bible is truly the Word of God? Kind of hypocritical don't you think? "Oh those books that were left out of the Bible are great, but the Bible itself is nonsense". Kinda........ weird. Thats like saying all the errors that were edited out of a novel were the only true parts of the book, but the finished piece is horrible. Things are left out for a reason. You do not edit out the good things or the true things you edit out the lies and weaknesses.

and pls dont tell me that the bible is the only book writen under the inspiration of god coz the jews, muslims, and other religions think the same 2.
And God sent his Son to die for them too.
You ask about other books or scriptures, but if you were of that same spirit if truth, that of all who have been reborn into Christ, you would not have even asked the question.
The devil deceives men into believing there are many roads that lead to heaven. According to the Word of God there is only one.
It is written that Jesus Christ is the Word of God. Jesus said his flock would hear and know his voice. If Jesus is the Word of God then wouldn't those who have been born again know what and what is not of God?
Certainly.

There are other scriptures left out of the bible. They are locked up in the Vatican and are deemed unfit for the average human eye. What did make itinto the bible is so corupted by the catholic priests who translated it into whatever they wanted it to say that the bible as we hae it today is nothing more than a novel. There are some nice ideas in i but the one and only true word of god, not likely.

I advised some buddies of mine who had brothers into older track and that they stored asserting it became into "loopy prepare" from Ozzy. i offered the album, yet that wasn't the track. To on the present time I have not any thought what it became into.

Yes and they just did not measure up at the African Synods in the late fourth and early fifth centuries that canonized the Bible. Pope Gelasius banned most of them later and found their followers in anathema.
