Yes and No. First, you can set it to where only your friends can see your profile, and then you can feel a little safer about it, but be careful, because that whole idea doesn't work if you accept anybody as a friend. Don't put anything on there that you wouldn't tell a random stranger on the street.

Myspace is quite safe and you can do many things to keep people out that you may not want to talk to, like changing your settings so that in order for someone to send you a friends request they have to put your e-mail adress in or your last name. I dont recommend putting your complete home address on display just in case, I just put my town name. Set your account to private (Friends only) to ensure that online creeps won't get your information or pictures.

Weird men are always going to flirt with you on MySpace, but if you ignore them, you have nothing to worry about. As long as you don't put too much personal information on your profile, or keep your profile private from the public (only allowing your friends to see your page) then it's perfectly safe. You just have to be smart about it.

Of course. My myspace is set to private, and only my friends can view my profile or pics or anything. All strangers get are a small icon of my default, where I live (which I don't even have to put or can make up), and my current mood. You don't even have to have your last name on there. Myspace is as safe as you allow it to be.

if ur going 2 give out vital info. like ur address, ur #, etc. then no lol bcuz seriously there r perverts and stalkers and who knows wat else everywer on the site
the best thing 2 do is 2 just set ur profile 2 private, that way the only thing ppl that aren't ur friends can c is ur picture, ur name, ur age, and the state u live in (well that depends again on whether or not u give ur town)
then if sum1 tries 2 c ur profile that's not on ur friendlist u don't have 2 worry about it cuz they won't b able 2

NO!! Myspace is safe as long as you make sure what your doing. Dont add or talk to people you dont know. Some are just spam. But dont feel like its not safe. Just be smart and remember what your doing. DONT BE STUPID!

If you are a teenager (or younger) -- you need to be set on private on myspace.....and accept NO MESSAGES except from friends you KNOW......cyberspace can get you in big trouble -- have you been living under a rock?
I am not saying myspace is bad but if you are naive and just trust words you see typed, you are being stupid......put everything on private. Even my daughter-in-law hides her comments and friends from her FRIENDS on myspace. Don't accept strangers.....EVER!!!!!!!!!!

honestly, it depends on your situation.
if you purposly give out your information, keep your profile public [not private or blocked others], and talk to people you dont know, then no it is not safe.
but if you keep your profile private, block unknown people, and keep your important information to yourself, then it will be very safe and you'll enjoy just talking to your friends.
I think its wrong that so many people are against myspace when its nothing wrong for normal people to just talk to friends. Its not our problem that kids talk to strangers and then have to accept the concequences and continue being in danger.
