I really like this guy, and i don't know if he likes me. he acts like it sometimes. he sits behind me in algebra (3/4 in case you were wondering) and out of the corner of my eye sometimes i can see him staring at me. and then, in orchestra (yes, i know. Laugh) he has been known to stare at the back of my head... we've got this competition going in our section. the person that can play the hard part the best will get first chair, and everyone is confident i'll win (for some reason) and this guy is pretty sure he'll get second chair, which is what he's been aiming for for about the last two years. he wants me to be in first and him to be in second chair, basically.(ps-- there's also this bet going around in that class we'll go out soon... no ideas as to how it got started tho...)

and also, u said sumthing about this bet going around that u 2 r gonna go out soon?...that's happened 2 me a few times and it usually means either 2 things...one: he likes u, and he's told sum1 he likes u...sum1 who obviously couldn't keep their mouths closed, or two: he likes u, other ppl can tell that he does or found out sumhow and thats y there's a bet about it

If bets are starting about you two potentially going out soon, then it's likely the guy has heard it. Find out if he has.
The bet is basically like a rumor because people are essentially speculating that you two have feelings for each other...that's a type of rumor.
So if the rumor is false, he will swiftly put an end to the rumor and deny that he has feelings for you. But, if he acts like the rumor doesn't bother him, then that means he likes you. At the very least, the thought of going out with you would have crossed his mind.
At the end of the day, it's up to you to find out for sure. Tell him how you feel. Tell him about the bet: "everyone's talking about us being together...do you feel that way too?"
Again, I don't know if he's heard of this bet or not, but it's a sure bet (no pun intended) that bringing up what OTHER people are saying about you two is a good segue into asking him out.

The same thing happened to me in Biology class. But the chick got more guy's lose the battle of the sexes, Girl's have 10 billion brain cell's than boy's. So Go figure.

I guess so. It's not really enough details to know. However, I don't think I ever stared at the back of a girls head for a long time because I liked her. I would rather stare at the front of her head.

Are you interested in dating a young man that cannot express his feelings for you? If he does like you, but cannot express it that may be an indication of two things;
1. He is emotionally very immature
2. He is shy, lacks self confidence or has difficulty expressing his emotions in a constructive manner.
Neither of these is a good sign for a healthy relationship.

I'm guessing so. However, I don't know him, and therefore may not be accurate. But if he's staring at you, and using competitions to flirt with you, I'm pretty willing to bet he does.

Well... just from that, it is hard to say. Just talk to him, try to be friends. If he likes you and is too nervious to ack upon his emotions, then you breaking the ice between you to would probibly push him in the right direction.

hey i have the same problem i like this boy but i don't think he likes me i say ask him out if u think he likes u don't be afraid to ask i did and i got a maybe but that's far from the point i say ask him it wont hurt to ask and u never know he may even be ur boyfriend!!
