yes I agree with you, gordon or johnson would not have won as many races this year if not for nascars phantom debris cautions, or and I like this one, whenever jeff or jimmie gets a lap down throw the caution, so they can catch up. Kansas was a complete joke, the race never should have restarted after the 2nd red flag if they knew they couldnt complete the whole race. If the hendrick guys were up front, nascar would not have restarted that race. I cant even count how many races this year have been dictated by nascars stupid calls, all to let hendrick win. Hey I look at the bright side...maybe if gordon wins the championship this year, he will retire and be gone for good. In all these years there have never been this many gordon fans, or hendrick fans for that matter, but now that they are winning, everyone seems to have found their favorite driver. Having a favorite driver means sticking with him no matter what. Like when smoke missed the chase last year, did I pick another driver, hell no, and we all saw how he came out and won 3 races. I bet alot of you so called gordon fans arent even his fans, just jumped on the bandwagon.

GO smoke!!!!

I've noticed that they seem to be better drivers than most of the others. I also noticed that NASCAR was NOT consistent in their punishments for the 24 and 48 cars at Sonoma. If they are supposedly "favored" then why did they get tougher penalties than other teams that have had COT infractions? Not only did they get the same monetary, points and crew chief suspension penalties but they were ALSO parked for qualifying and practice on top of that.

On the contrary. Both Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson have been fined, docked championship points, and had both of their crewchiefs suspended for several weeks for rules infractions. Chad Knous and Steve LaTarpe were caught using unapproved parts and were caught making illegal modifications to the C.O.T, or the Car Of Tomorrow. Jimmie Johnson's crewchief Chad Knous was suspended before the running of the 2006 Daytona 500 for illegal parts and modifications During all these issues Rick Hendrick their car owner was docked owner points and that determines whether or not they have a guarantied starting spot during the races. Only the top 35 in owner points have a guarantied starting spot on the grid and just one point out of the top 35 will require you to qualify based on the time of your qualifying laps

Absolutely! And Mike Helton was the second gunman on the grassy knoll, Elvis is still alive, & pumping gas in Reno, and Dennis Rodman is really an alien from a small planet orbiting Alpha Centauri.

It just seems that way because Hendrick Motorsports has the best drivers. The best drivers generate the most attraction. And that's what it's all about. We're supposed to notice that.

Can't you come up with anything better than that same old conspiracy theory that's been on here forever
Be creative:

How about Jeff Gordon is actually Elvis Presley's illegitimate son and it's the music industry that is fixing all the races so he'll win another Championship

I wouldn't say Nascar favors these drivers, but rather respects them as being consistant winners. They make Nascar money. Any professional sports league is going to treat their future "Hall of Famers' differently.

That must be why the camera spends most of its time following the number 8, even when running in the back.

It just seems that way since they are 1,2 in the chase right now, and they are getting tons of attention. It more the media that favors them than Nascar..

No actually I havn't noticed that Johnson and Gordon are favored more by nascar, they are getting talked about more then usual because of their accomplishments this year but have you noticed that Jr. gets favored all the time even when he does so poorly!!!!!
