Jesus is the Way John 14.6.
1)
Chinese history goes back approx 4000 years before Christianity even started. So they have a head start.
As far as Egyptian and Indian civilizations, the different races, GOD scattered them at the tower of Babal, because they wanted to find another way of salvation other then GOD.
2) If you come to China or Japan, do you want to be respected or viewed as a sinful barbarian
GOD created all the "races/Ethnos" on the 6th day, and HE looked and it was very good. Gen 1:31
GOD loves all HIS children, all souls belong to HIM. Eze 18:4
3. Only the ignorant say that unbelievers burn in hell.
Hell is the "Lake of Fire"(Rev 20:14-15), and doesn't exist at till the end of the millennium/Lord's day.
We have the whole 1000 year period to go threw before any unbeliever gets a walk into the lake. They will be taught the difference between the Holy and the Profane Eze 44:23, that is the difference between Satan and Christ in the millennium. Then for a short season be tested by Satan at the end of the millennium, (Rev 20:8) and if they still don't believe then they are blotted out of the book of life. Ashes, gone.
4 You should read the bible, 2 Tim 2:15, use a Strong's concordance, take it back to the original meanings.
And most of all, prove all things. 2 Tim 5:21

Unfortunately, the questions you are asking must be, for the most part, answered scriptually. Your question #1 brings to mind the the man made of brass, iron, etc., with feet of clay. It is the nature of mankind that one civilization will overtake another; sin and corruption often leads to the fall of an empire. Greed of those in power often leads to uprising and overthrowing of the government by the oppressed people. Read "The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire", explore the story of France and Marie Antoinette. Even the American Revolution was the result of breaking away from England and her taxes. A true Christian can respect an individual even though he doesn't agree with the religion. But Christianity, by it's nature, teaches that Christ is the way, the truth and the life and no man can come to the Father except by Him. Therefore, anyone who does not believe in Jesus, is not saved. That does not mean that the person can't be saved on the death bed by accepting Him. That's why Christ died--for the salvation of his people. Unless they become believers, unbelievers will be sentenced to eternal damnation. Christ said that if you don't acknowledge Him, he won't acknowledge you. I disagree about reading between the lines. Again, the scriptures tell us that nobody is to add or take from the Word. What you should do is pray that the Holy Spirit will enlighten you to the Word and help you to understand The Bible. I have read the Bible about 4 or 5 times and each time, I discover something new. It just jumps off the page and gives me new insite.

Well first of all Rome is not heaven, and also it was divided,
Question one has nothing to do with Christianity and the Bible or salvation. There have been may kingdoms that have so called ruled the world. Right now it its the USA and if you want to get technical Egypt was mentioned in the Bible as a world power and it is believed that the wise men that came to see baby Jesus were from the Orient.
question 2 of course if I visited China or Japan which I would love to do I woulds want to be respected
question 3 First I am a christian that does not believe in eternal hell fire, But they reason some say that non believers will go to hell is that is what they are taught or should I say mistaught. Unbelievers will be lost, and suffer the second death.
question 4 is very dangerous as the Bible is of no private interpretation. The Bible explains itself. So no I do not agree with you on that one.
Hope I was of some help! God Bless!

1 - Different cultures have lead the world at different times. The Romans and Greeks were also world leads in culture and scientific achievements. The one thing that history teaches us is that empires come and then they go and it's usually the leader who cause the collapse.
2 - Hopefully people would respect my culture as much as I would respect these. I have no problem looking around temples, I might not believe in what they are teaching but most of the religions in the world tell the same stories.
3 - Sheep. Lots of people follow what there minister say without think about what they are saying. Look at the typical TV preacher asking the average person to give what money they can to the church, whilst they sit on Golden chairs.
4 - Everyone should read and make up there own mind about what is said. Most preacher seem to be doing just that. It's almost as if they pick and choose what's important and what doesn't matter to them. Isn't both greed and gluttony sins?

1. These aren't the only civilisations that led the world in terms of cultural and scientific achievements - Rome is another example, ancient Israel is another. Actually, I believe that Israel is a leader in the scientific field today.
2. It would be hard to not be respected for your beliefs, but as Christians, we aren't called to take the easy road, are we? I think people would lose respect for us, if we decided it was all too hard to be Christian and became a Confucianist or whatever the going religion was. Respect comes from staying true to our beliefs in the hard times.
3. I don't agree with the way some people word their answers on Yahoo. As Christians, we should accept others for who they are. Our lives should be lived as an example for others. Perhaps many of the people you met in America were Christians?
4. As a contemporary Christian, I am still called to follow Christ. Many people don't agree, but I don't believe that the Bible should be 'watered down' to suit how we want to live today. We should be accepting of others, but not tolerant of the many things that happen that go against what Christ has taught us. Not easy to be a Christian - so often we have to take the hard road and go against the ways of the world.
Jesus did say, 'I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father, but by Me.' He did not say, 'No man comes to the Father but by Me or Confucious, or Buddha..." We have to make a choice - choose life through Jesus or live our own way.

You are trying to avoid the real issue. If you are saved then you have confessed with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord.
No-one comes to the Father except through Jesus.
Trying to avoid the Bible is avoiding the truth.
Your "all roads lead to Rome" is a well quoted verse you picked up from reading or hearing something.
You have had some experiences because you come from China - and that is wonderful - nevertheless you are just as vulnerable to deception as anyone else is.
"Reading the bible between the lines" is a poor choice explanation. Reading the bible is God's Word. Trying to read between the lines can lead to deception. Whether you are contemporary or not!!!!
Your comment on unbelievers burning in hell - is a confrontation and an accusation!
God's heart is that none should perish but have everlasting life.
The existence of hell is real. We all have a choice.
Make up your mind - you either want to be with Jesus in eternity or you do not.
You are offended by comments from christians on yahoo answers. How offended would you be if at the end of your life you are headed away from the one that loves you and calls you by name to the one who has influenced you to an eternity without God.

1) That's a good question. The Egyptians were motivated by their religion to build the pyramids. Leading to advances in physics and mathematics. Some of the earliest forms of algebra originated in India and China is basically the founder of homeopathic medicine and much more. Advances such as these arise from necessity.
2) I would obviously want to be respected
3) People that say that are afraid to tell it to someone's face. They have no respect for a someone else's opinion and beliefs. They are too myopic and narrow minded to get past there own zeal and see things from someone else's point of view.
I find that there is truth in all religions. The US is very mixed. You're not going to be singled out because of your religion. Well, I guess it depends on what part of the US you go to. At least not in South Florida.
4) Yes, the bible is not meant to be taken literally. Like the story of the flood. It has been proven that a flood large enough to engulf the world would leave so much moisture in the air that you would drown by breating.

1- they may have been the most advanced in terms of scientific achievements but that has absolutly nothing to do with spirituality.
2- i dont even understand this question, but if you are not willing to receive criticism because of your beliefs then you really don't believe in that religion and you have no place there.
3- people say that unbelievers will go to hell because that is the truth. maybe people in america were nice to you because they are just nice people. there are plenty of nice people in every religion in america so what you are saying makes no sense.
4- being open minded is great, but if you start to question the Bible you should really think twice. If you truly are a christian, as you said you are, then you should know that believing in Jesus, and only Jesus, is the only way to get to Heaven. Personally, i think that if believe that "all roads lead to Rome" then you are not a real christian.
Im a Baptist, and I'm proud of it.

Very good questions my good man.
Jesus said he is the only door to get into the kingdom of heaven a stated in John 10:1-9 NKJV
Jesus the True Shepherd
1 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them.
Jesus the Good Shepherd
7 Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who ever came before Me[a] are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
1) You cited examples like Moses and Joseph in Egypt and Daniel and his three companions in Babylon where those societies were allowed of God to achieve all that. That includes China. Thankfully wisdom is not prejudice as to what races gain knowledge and which ones do not. Onl man is.
2.I would expect in Japan to be treated with dignity and respect and nothing less than that. And that would be irrespective of religious belief.
3). You are right most Christians do not say that at all. I do not hear such threats except in Yahoo Answers.
4) I agree with you we should be open minded but most importantly open to the Holy Spirit and what He wants to teach us for today.
God bless you.

1) I don't know, and I don't think that has relation with religion or christianity
2) No. I believe in tolerance (i spread my beliefs but don't force). Keep your faith strong- don't let wordly things affect your faith. choose your faith to go soley based on yourself, and pray to God about it even if you are having doubts
3) People on yahoo answers like that are just...cruel and stupid. They're the reason why some people don't believe in God in the first place, and all the while they think they're helping. Scaring someone into belief won't work. It'll do it's job- scare someone away from christianity. Just remember that that has to do wtih human nature and how some people choose to speak- it has very little to do with the religion itself
4) I believe as a human, it is only necessary to be open minded. As for skipping lines throiugh the bible (is that what you meant by "read the bible between lines), that's not good. Even if you're having doubts, you could come along a line that destroys the doubt. Even if you believe, you could come across a line that fastens your faith to christ. You should always be open minded- that's how you find out what doubts you have, and then what you decide to do with them.
