Sometimes, but I've always had swings. Even when I believed in God, long ago, I had my lows.

Edit: Different people have different brain chemistries. Some will be happier than others, regardless of their philosophy. However some theist wants to skew things, what's probably true does not change. If a lack of "God" is the source of my occasional depression, I would much rather be a depressed atheist than a happy delusional Christian.

"It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring."

Nope not depressed....

I have only had one bout with depression in my life, just after the birth of my youngest daughter... Post-partum hormones can be quite a rollercoaster ride... A few months on anti-depressants and hormone treatment to rebalance my system and all has been well since... YEAH!!!! science...

Nope. Got a lot of good stuff going on here.

The Red Sox are losing again, though. That's a bit of a downer.

Oh wait - they just got three straight home runs. I'm better now.

to be honest, I'm a little sad that i don't have a girlfriend at the moment :(

but other than that, life is going GREAT. I love my new job, on the side, my art is selling quite well, so I have no financial worries.

and I feel fufilled and content.

No sir, mama. Although I must admit, that being in this Religion & Spirtuality catagorey is a bit of a downer. All these Christians are so cranky and hypacritcal. I'd rather go and chat in the LGBT section; they're at least 'gay' and fun to talk to. ^_^

You don't really expect an athiest to fess up on that do you? Athiest=foolish pride (and satan=pride). Good question though, perhaps a couple of them will think about it despite their tough answers. So see, you did something good and weren't even trying to.

I just had two Prozacs washed down with some 18-year-old single malt. I'm good.
