There is only one sin that is absolutely unforgivable. Any other sin, if repented of, can be forgiven. Of course, any sin that is NOT repented of is NOT forgiven.
But even if a murderer DOES seriously repent before God, that doesn't mean that the legal consequences won't affect him. A Life time sentence without parole, et cetera.
King David committed adultery with Bathsheba, then when he found out she was pregnant, had her husband, Uriah, killed on the front line of battle. When Nathan the prophet confronted him, he deeply repented and God forgave him, but he still had to face the consequences of his sin here on earth.

God forgives all sin and forgets them. We are judged according to our works/fruits/deeds. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is unforgiveable

Okay, I can see how this might seem confusing.
Blasphemy is the only unforgivable sin. That is because when you speak out against God and say you don't believe, you cannot be saved. How can you be saved by something you do not believe in? If you later come to Christ, that can be forgiven, because you're no longer nonbelieving. Does that make sense? It's only unforgivable because there is nothing to forgive, because you don't believe that there is Someone who needs to forgive.
Murder is forbidden in one of the commandments, but so are many other things that are very forgivable, as viewed by the world. Sin is just sin to God. He thinks it's ALL terrible. But he can forgive all and any of it, as long as in your heart you truly are repenting. And he WILL know that. There is nothing too big for God to save you from. It wouldn't be easy to forgive yourself, though, but he can help with that, too.
Great question, I hope I answered it well, and God bless!

It depends on what state of mind you are in when you commit the act that makes it a moral issue or not.
I choose not to call it a "sin" (and to put sin in quotes) because there are many words for it.
In my case, i choose to call it an immoral act. What makes murder immoral is if you commit it in spite and to purposely harm those you hate.
HOWEVER. What if you murder someone who was out to harm you? Is that not called self-defense?
Murder is wrong in certain contexts, and, yes, may seem "unforgivable." But not when you choose to defend something that is right. There are many religious men and women who serve in the military and have to do their job in order to protect their country, even if it means killing another human being.
Lets look at a hypothetical situation:
A person has been conditioned [since birth] to think that murder was completely acceptable and that it was not wrong in any way. Would that person be, in a way, "forgiven" and therefore "be accepted into heaven"? It depends. But take a look at the factors. It was not this person's fault that he was trained to believe in something as opposed to murder being widely accepted as "wrong."
MY POINT IS: there are many loopholes in this business called forgiveness. You can't judge something through one perspective and call it wrong or right, you have to consider the many possibilities on this place called earth, and on the thing called the human mind.

The only unforgiveable sin is blasphemy. If you notice, when God tells someone to kill someone else, (like with Moses and the plagues), that person is still concidered holy.
Basically, if you ask God for forgiveness for anything other than turning your back on him, you will be forgiven. That's what Jesus is for.

I have always felt God forgives anything a person is truly sorry for. I have never understood "unforgivable sins" it seems like if they were unforgivable Jesus wouldn't have died for everyone.

I don't think there exists an unforgivable sin.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
If you are truly contrite and ask for forgiveness, you'll be forgiven, even of murder and blasphemy.

God forgives all sin including Murder if the person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal savior and asks Jesus to save them and as long as they are truly repentant. The only unforgivable sin is Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit which is, the refusal to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior. Refusing to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior is the ONLY sin that will land you in Hell.

I was always taught that forgiveness is there for those who ask for it. But it also says in the Lords prayer to forgive us as we forgive others, so I take that to mean that God will forgive us if/as we learn to forgive each other.
I think forgiveness is a big subject that could be discussed forever.

Yes. If the murderer truly asks for forgiveness from God. All sin is the same to God, there is no one that is worse than the other.
