I hate tourist packages, but is it safe for a woman to travel alone?

I hate almost all fast food! Consumed only in case of emergency, but thanks, SHM! Hey, Rammie!

um... March is NOT a warm month, sometimes it's even colder than February but you never know with our climate but I suggest taking some VERY warm clothes
hotels are good, there's one very good place to stay at in VDNKH
yes, it's safe to travel alone to Russia but I'd advise not to be too trusting, you can never be too careful
so, maybe we should meet when you get here? (if you're coming to Moscow and don't mind, that is)

its a warm time of year there so you should be fine with a simple jacket. other than that just your basic clothes. contrary to what american news TRYS to potray (which by the way-is controled by conservatives not LIBERALS) Russia is very safe. its all depends on (as any country) where you go. moscow is safe without question. VERY VERY VERY expensive but safe. going towards the south right now like the caucas's region (where my brothers' wife is from and where i've visited more than once) is not the safest right now unless you are local. but its not terribly dangerous..unfortunately that's the PRETTIEST place in russia to visit.
any hoo..have fun and enjoy your stay there. you'll like it. be prepared though for a serious culture shock in food..if you aren't used to eating different stuff.
no mccdonalds there...no fast food. so my advice to you would be to head to a local russian shop and start eating the food.
