Here's The Story:
My boyfriend and a few of my freinds were going to go to the mall and just hang out. Well my boyfriend couldn't come with us for some strange reason... Anyways we ran wild (exaggeration) through the mall and soon we ended up at this Halloween shop where I tried on this dorky, whore-like costume as a dare.

The next day we were starting to feel bad for going without him so I called him to make sure everything was alright. He told me that she only reason he wasn't able to go was because his mom thought I was a party girl. I thought it was pretty stupid since she hasn't even met me in real life. Plus I'm one of the most down to earth people ever.

Well yesterday, we gave him the pic that we took of me in that costume. His mom found it and now thinks I'm a whore! It was just a joke and my friends thought it would make him happy.

So now I'm depressed because I really don't want her to judge me and to know the real me. Not just some stupid pic. What should I do?

Obviously this upsets you a lot and rightfully so. I get the feeling that you're not simply willing to let it go and pretend like it doesn't bother you. Clearly, what she thinks IS important to you and there is nothing wrong with that. A lot of relationships fail to work because most women don't understand that if you marry a man you marry his mother too, in most instances.
You apparently don't know this woman any better than she knows you. That in itself can't be a good thing. I know it's a little risky and it will take a lot of guts but if I were you, I would go straight to the source. Maybe both of you are misunderstanding one another? Be honest.. ask her flat out. Just be tactful about it and tell her you want her to know she can always come to you if she has ANY questions about such as this. You may just gain yourself a friend for trying to set the record straight.

There isn't much you can do, except act like a good person, and not give her any reason to think you are not a nice person. You can explain that you where joking, and that is what halloween is all about, to put on costumes and look like somebody else. Just because you look like a turtle, doesn't mean you turn into one. She'll get over it in time, just be nice.

1. meet mom
2. take some cute pics and let mom see (ie. you doing something dumb like getting food on your face, or ice skating and falling)
3. then mabey don't do things like try on crazy dresses and make his mom think your a party girl until she thinks otherwise
