In Mark Thomas' "Secret Map of Britain", he points out that there is nuclear bunker in the centre of London. It is identifiable by not having doors. As I am unable to get a copy of this programme, does anyone know where the bunker is? Also, if you know where I can get a copy then that would be great too.

The bunker is situated at the house of Mrs Brenda Uncker (91 years old) of 112 Thomas Avenue SW2. Although not actually in the centre of London, it was situated here due to the ease it could be built on the site of Mrs Uncker's original house which was destroyed during the course of the war.

By building it here the govenment could build the buncker without arousing the suspicion of the local population. If anyone asked, Mrs Unker was just getting an extended basement built.

After the end of the Cold War Mrs Uncker noticed a lack of visitors to her home address and mentioned this to her next door neighbour, Mrs G. Oven-Ment who promtley had to take Mrs Uncker aside to explain a few things.

there are bunkers all over the place because of the threat of the cold war turning hot. the government neither accept or deny their existence as a matter of principle but they are widely documented as they quite often they require private sector expertise. there is a citadel under London but the doors are not just in the street. there will be interconnected bunkers under many central government institutions - subterranean Whitehall is just one massive bunker with downing street, the MOD and all that. you think its a bit James bond but they're really there, theres a massive one near me in wiltshire called the corsham computer centre (as a cunning trick name) which "isn't there" unless you go up, what i called as a kid, the secret road and are confronted by MOD police and security cameras. it documented on wikipedia if you want to check it out (although i don't no how accurate it is)

How does anyone enter or exit if there are no doors?

All I could find was info on Churchill's "secret" bunker: http://www.nyclondon.com/blog/archives/2004/09/19/churchills_secret_underground_bunker_paddock.blog

If you do a search on "secret map of britain", you'll find several torrent sites that appear to offer the program.

Aye you mean the legendary super bunker in London which could survive any attack under the sun!
Well they noticed after construction that cowboy builders had left some small details out, and they have been trying to break in ever since.

No wonder its top secret!
