My daughters won a Readers Digest joke contest and want to use part of the money to help soldiers. We may be able to have our girl scout troop assist as well (9-11 yr olds). So anything you feel is a highly requested item we would like to send

WOW, what a nobel idea from your duagther to use some of the money to support the troops. You deffinitly have raised a fine outstanding member of society, great job Mom. I have been in the Army for 12 years now and reading that went right thru me. Thank you for your support!!
You can sent hygen items like toothpste, toothbrush, floss, soap, foot powder, deoderant, razors, shaving cream, and bug spray,
you can send food items like cookies, cakes, hard candy, chocolate (only durring the cooler months because it will melt), sunflower seeds, and single serve drink mixes.
Also AT&T calling cards are great to send as most camps over there have AT&T calling centers.

Thanks for you support and God Bless you and your Duaghter!!

When my husband was in Iraq (and about to go again for the 3 time) usually he ask me for ATT phone cards, crossword puzzles, fitness magazines, beef jerky, hard candy, kool aid (some of them get tired of drinking plain water and gatorade), movies on DVD (can ask people to donate movies that they will not see again), books.

Also soldiers absolutely LOVE girl scout's cookies. Our troop send our soldiers over 200 boxes of cookies and the could not get enough.

Tell your daughter THANK YOU from me as a military spouse it is good to see kids supporting the soldiers. You do not need to support the war but always support the soldiers

My husband is currently deployed and we actually just had a conversation about this today. He says the PX regularly runs out of toiletries (like body wash, deodorant) and they go through alot of coffee and creamer.
I am trying to get packages ready for the Holidays and so this kinda gave me a good idea as to what to get.
Thanks for thinking of our men and women over there!
