i probably wouldn't host one but they are fun to go to. its a great girls only event.

I've been to one. They are NOT in poor taste. There is nothing raunchy and shameful about safe sex between consenting adults.
Sex toy parties are harmless. All (adult) women at some point in their lives have sex or sexual experiences. It's nature and NOT embrassing. I would not go talking about my sex life with friends or with strangers. At sex toy parties, you just look at toys and products w/ your close friends.
There is NO obligation to buy and if you do purchase, no one else at the party knows what you got. It's confidential.
It more for a laugh and a little education. Even if you would NEVER buy something like that, there is no harm in knowing what it is. It keeps you from looking naive if you read about it or something.

I have been to a few. I have never hosted one. I don't find them in poor taste. You can usually tell who would be offended. Those are some of the funnies parties that I have been to.

I am very open minded sexually but not for group settings. I know no sex goes on in the parties but just having the toys there is a big yuck to me. it is like going to a x-rated movie at a theater. why do it in these times of the internet. I think sexual things need to be kept between the people who are doing the sexual acts not bringing out the toys for a group to see. if I wanted to see sexual toys I would go on the internet and look them up. they have very good descriptions of the toy and what it does. so no party for me. it is in bad taste in my opion. ladies do not go.

i hosted one not too long ago. anyone that may be offended will just not show up. it is better to do it with only all females, it was a giggling good time! the show and tell takes place, have some alcohol on hand to loosen things up, silly games, and i made a giant cake shaped like a willy. the ordering should be done in private. if you think that you may be offended, dont go. its better than going to one of those stores with the sticky floors to purchase items.

They can be extremely funny. I haven't hosted one, but I have gone to two and it was hysterical. If the person running the show has been properly trained, you'll also learn a few things about sex and health, things you never knew you didn't know.

Host one? HA! No!
If invited... my rsvp would be, "Sorry, I am unable to attend."
Poor taste? Yep... totally.
Most of such "paraphenalia" can be readily purchased online or in "adult" stores. So the "excuse" of having it done "in private" no longer exists.

I doubt I would host one, but I would probably go to one, especially if my friends were coming with me. I think it would be interesting, but I agree with what some other people have said...purchases should be made in private.

I would go if I was comfortable with the other girls going and if I could make my purchase in private.
