Ask your friends to ask Bruce to give you a call.Since you say you are shy I felt it might make it easier to talk if Bruce called you instead of the other way around. When he calls , you can chat about anything you like to help break the ice and create a rapport between the two of you.This way you can feel him out and then decide if you would like to go out with him.If you decide to go out with him , make the first one a double date to make it less awkward for the both of you ;and from there you can do your own thing.Who knows Bruce may turn out to be as great a guy as he is cute and you will be glad your friends brought you both together. well honestly you really have to suck it up, and commit to talking to him. A guy will normally respect a woman (if he does) more if you have the courage to come and talk to him without hiding behind friends and people.

have all your friends invite you and him go to a movie or something as freinds. The whole group. then you can check him out first w out any kind of commitment and see if you are interested..
