There is really nothing stopping from going back in just a few hours. It's good to let there be a lull between activity especially if you killed your first buck near the stand and there was a lot of scent closeby....A Buck does have the ability to pick up another Buck in the area, so a slight delay gives the breeze a chance to blow away any air bourne scents left over from your previous kill........

I know there's the wives tale about hunting a stand too much....The truth is if you are not there when the deer comes by"and it it will" you can't shoot it.....Last year I shot 2 deer out of the same stand in 2 days, and I have a friend that has gotten 3 deer in the past 4 days out of the same stand, so I say get up in that stand and get your self anther deer 4 the table.....Good luck!!!!!

Almost immediately. Me and my buddies bowhunt in a stand in a tree that is on a major mulie highway. We draw straws for it to see who gets it the first day. One year all 3 of us got a deer from it in 3 days with two misses as well. Another year, I got one in the morning and my son got one at dusk. We had venison coming out of our ears! I also know a father/son team who shoot from a blind with guns and they have had similar results.
