Eze 18:4
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
How can something immortal die?

The rich man and Lazarus was a parable which isn't literal. Do you know that Jesus was in Hades yet he didn't suffer any torment? I know the Bible and I know what it says.

--==Rich Man and Lazarus==--
Rich Man in this account represents the Jewish religionists, and Lazarus represents the Jewish masses they looked down upon. Lazarus was sent to Abraham's Bosom, and the rich man sent to hades.
The Christian congregation in Pentecost A.D. 33 brought spiritual refreshment for the Jewish masses, and they no longer depended on the for spiritual matters Pharisees. The Jewish religionists (rich man) were considered in the dead spiritually (Acts 4:1,2) Abraham's bosom represents the part of divine favor because the Abraham's bosom is the spiritual seed which grows greater until our day.
This parable also deals with having the appropriate view of money, something the Pharisees and other religious leaders didn't have (Luke 16:13,14 , Matthew 23:5-7)
I can go on and on why this is just a parable and not something literal.

Here are verses from the NIV in which eternal life is discussed or promised to those who believe in Christ:
Matthew 19:16; Matthew 19:29; Matthew 25:46; Mark 10:17; Mark 10:30; Luke 10:25; Luke 18:18; Luke 18:30; John 3:15-16; John 3:36; John 4:14; John 4:36; John 5:24; John 5:39; John 6:27; John 6:40; John 6:54; John 6:68; John 10:28; John 12:25; John 12:50;John 17:2; John 17:3; Acts 13:46; Acts 13:48; Romans 2:7; Romans 5:21; Romans 6:22; Romans 6:23; Galatians 6:8; 1 Timothy 1:16; 1 Timothy 6:12; Titus 1:2; Titus 3:7; 1 John 1:2; 1 John 2:25; 1 John 3:15; 1 John 5:11; 1 John 5:13; 1 John 5:20; Jude 1:21.
Likewise, Jesus promised that believers would never die in John 11:26. There are other verses.
As for whether an unrepentant soul can die, consider the story that Jesus told about Lazarus. Luke 16:19-31. The rich man continued to suffer, despite having died. The torment is perpetual, eternal, for all the souls who are condemned to Hell. Revelation 20:10-15; Matthew 25:41; Matthew 25:46.
Just as there is eternal life for believers, unbelieving souls face eternal death. 2 Thessalonians 1:9.
By the way, how can you be completely sure that the story of Lazarus is not literal or that it does not express truth about the eternal nature of our souls?
Are you looking for an answer or, rather, for an opportunity to critque those who do not share your view? It is interesting that you make no mention of anything in Jesus' story about Lazarus that has to do with the afterlife when that is one of the central points. Jesus also explained why we should make sure that we have treasure in Heaven, instead of merely on the Earth. Matthew 19:21 (the Rich Young Ruler); Matthew 6:19-21 (treasure on earth versus treasure in heaven).

In Judaism those who're no longer purified in Gehinnom (Sheol) their soul is destroyed. The early Church developed in yet otherwise between the Western Church and the jap Church. The Western Church believed in accordance to Scripture and custom that the soul is immortal and hence won't be able to be destroyed after death. The jap Church believed in accordance to Scripture and custom that the soul is waiting for the 2d coming of Christ and could be judged on the finest Day. the concept of Hell is an element of eternal punishment for the dammed that bumped off themselves from God's grace. The doctrine is supported by technique of Scripture regardless of if it actually does no longer say the be conscious "Hell". And in case you've self assurance the soul is immortal than it won't be able to be destroyed.

Jesus Christ ressurrection shows us our spirit will live in eternity, i.e. if you choose to live with the Father God in Heaven. Don`t be too philosophical for your own destructions.
Don`t make God/Jesus words in vain in saving you. It serves as a warning for you to be watchout, be prepared and take good care of your spirit than any worldly limited things.
God`s & Jesus spoken parable are the things to happen in the future as God had planned. So, take heed of it before it will be too late.

You demonstrate a very selective reading & interpretation.
You ask what the Bible says;-} then quote from one book.
In Jesus day there were 2 schools of thought.
Jesus proved that the resurrectionists were correct.

That is because of the error and ignorance and confusion about the difference between the soul and spirit.
The soul is not eternal until it gets saved. The spirit is eternal, whether or not its saved.
I discuss this here:

You know nothing. Misinterpret some more stuff. You will find out some day.
One reason is Jesus talked about people after death as alive in some form.. Remember the rich man and Lazarus?
Read the whole book before you make your false conclusions.

Biblically, death is not ceasing to be alive but rather a seperation. Example: physical death- body and soul are seperated. Spiritual death- Soul is seperated from God
