Here is some of my opinion:
We can't just close all borders, because people are coming from more than just Mexico, but people may not realize it because some may be from countries that speak English and they may look like the "American standard." If we make legal immigration easier and allowed more people, we would have an over population. We already allow something like 625,000 legal immigrants each year! We are bursting at the seams, and more would cause trouble. The longer process eliminates many immigrants and narrows it down to the ones who are willing to learn our language and History so they can start a new life. Sad thing is, many of the legal immigrants know more about our history than we do! Why? Because they don't take it for granted...to them it is a miracle!

And pray tell... what do we do when Mexico refuses to pay the fine? war!? haha they would never do that since we do not have power over them! They would laugh and tell us it is our problem now.

We need to close the border first. I would like to see a complete immigration reform so people would not have wait years to come here. It would be nice to have a guest worker program, application, back ground check and ID card issued for say three years at which time a person could reapply and if "clean" stay another 3 years. The ones who are already here should be allowed to apply for a resident alien card, get fingerprinted, background check and physicals, pay a fine and receive resident alien cards. It is totally unrealistic to think 10-12 million people are going to be deported. Most just want to complain and come up with no real answers. This is my opinion only, hope it helped.

What you fail to discover is that operating in the ones sweatshops and sweatfarms is a STEP UP for the ones men and women over their earlier lifestyles. The USA and it is men and women did not begin out as affluent. It took many a long time of regularly growing our prosperity so operating stipulations and salaries increased. I'm reminded of an issue a couple of years again in which a few men and women within the USA have been outraged approximately baby hard work in a few overseas apparel factories. To avert the backlash, the factories fired the youngsters, lots of whom have been operating to help their households and themselves. End outcomes? Kids and households ravenous or compelled into prostitution on the grounds that of liberals with well intentions.

Give them 6 months to a year to go back to their country on their own, without forced deportation. This gives them time to save appropriate funds for the move and to not be punished in the meantime. Then they can file for proper visas and return, but they have to wait their turn behind people who are already waiting. That is only fair. However, after the date is set, anyone here illegally would have to be deported and not allowed to return. The main thing is communication. A lot of them wont learn english, then claim 'they did not know' laws, etc. We all know that 'i didn't know' is not getting anyone out of trouble if they are caught breaking a law. Hispanic people need to realize that not learning English is holding them back from the better life they are searching for. They should learn this lesson from back in the days of slavery. Why do you think the government did not want slaves to learn how to read and write? Because it holds them back. Hispanics are holding themselves back if they don't learn English.

I think that Super Chee, answer said it all, I would have the people that are here register for an Alien card. Run a background check those that have criminal records, deported. All others put on the Tax rolls, Anyone that is convicted of a felony, is deported to Mexican Police.

In some countries, the penalty for theft is amputation of the hand.
Perhaps repeat offenders could have their thumbs and big toes surgically removed. It would make it much harder to climb a fence or walk long distances. Charge the country the illegal alien came from with the hospital bill for the surgery, and mail the amputated digits to the leader of the country the illegal alien came from. Might help some of these "leaders" from encouraging illegal immigration.
It would also make it much easier to visually identify repeat offenders!!!

Our border isn't closed. It has never been closed to legal immigration.
If you want to "migrate" to the USA, come LEGALLY and you are welcome.
If you don't come LEGALLY, don't come at all.
All men are created equally, whether you were "born here" or not, true. What are you trying to say, that because all men are 'created equally', that people don't have to follow our immigration laws to enter our country??

First of all, dont say lets close the border.
Because its not just people coming in from Mexico.
Its all around.
All people who want to migrate to America should be welcome to. We would have to get proper identification of each person and have all those people's information on file.
We would have to make it easier for people to migrate here, so that way there wouldn't be people trying to get here ILLEGALY. All men are created equal, even if you were born here or not.

First offense fingerprint them and transport them back. If they are caught again send them to jail and may be they will think twice about it next time specially if the sentence is more severe for the third time caught. I know putting them in jail costs us tax payers money, But in the long run it might save us money. After all being here illegally is a crime.

Interior enforcement focused on employers would be the most effective option, since it would reduce the incentive to come here illegally. Ending 'sanctuary cities' and deporting illegals whenever they come to the notice of any bureacracy would be good, too.
Once illegal immigration becomes less attractive, securing the borders would become more practical. Once the borders are secure, meaningful immigration reform would become viable.

Make it illegal to hire illegals. Enforce the law. Stop benefits to illegals. Change the citizenship law. Babies born to illegals in the USA will not be granted citizenship. Secure the border.
If we don't make a few simple changes this country will change dramatically and not for the better.
No one is talking about the costs of millions more illegals coming here. I think it is very irresponsible of the elected officials.
I have no money to support these people. It could very well break me and this country.
