Hi Bex - yes people do astral travel both consciously and without knowing it. It is something I haven't tried as yet but knowing me it will come! As Sparkles says we travel in our dreams without knowing it. There is an invisible silver cord attached to your soul from your body so that the soul, which is the bit that travels, will always return. Have you ever woken with a start or jumped suddenly on awakening? That is you returning from your travels! People can consciously leave their bodies to travel too, usually just as far as the bedroom ceiling to start with! Many many people return to the spirit world in their sleep state to help the souls who have returned there - I was told once that I went back to help the animals (I love them all) and it explained why I was having the dreams of animals in distress. Hope this explains a little bit - it is difficult to give a full explanation here. You can always pick up books in the library - look under the Psychological section (strange place for them I know!). xxxxx

I for one love this question Bex yes it is possible I got a book from the libary "Contacting the Spirit World, How to develop your psychic abilities and stay in touch with loved ones" by Linda Williamson its not spooky it explains everything all those unanswered question and in it it explains about the astral plain and the fact that we go there in our dreams, brillant book and really did give me a lot of insight and in a beleivable way well worth a read if you want to know what happens after death.

I've never had a near-death experience, so no. I think it's more plausible to have an out-of-body experience when you are close to death, but I don't think it's plausible at all just to do 'astral travel.'

Yes it is definitely possible! I do it in my dreams sometimes! I have astrally left my body during sleep & flown across the atlantic ocean. I am being serious here by the way!
If u wanna answer my question, I think I am having man problems =(

Yup ~ done it ~ MUCH to my own surprise, I must admit, thinking that such things were impossible; attributable to an over-active imagination coupled with some wishful thinking, no doubt.

When it happened out of the blue one evening, it almost scared me to death.. and no, I wasn't stoned, or nearly asleep, or anything like that. And I'm still here to tell the tale. Not that I do very often, for painfully obvious reasons!

Open answer.......

If a person goes on vacation from point A to point B, one needs to return from point B to point A, safely! This is assured if one has a map!

The same applies to astral or etheric travel. A person needs a map or a guide (or Adept) to assure the return trip is made safely. To attempt this without a guide (or Adept) is considered unwise.

Purely speaking from personal experience.

Dreams are one form of astral travel.

No, it's caused by the brain. See Dr. Michael Persinger.

No.

There is absolutely no scientific evidence to suggest such things are possible. It's a gimmick that is used by people to sell books.

It's very possible. But everyone can believe as they want.
