ALL dogs regardless of their breed have the same digestive system - that of a carnivore. In fact, it is exactly the same as the grey wolf (canis lupus). This is why the domestic dog is classified as canis lupis familiaris. In other words they are a wolf subspecies, even your little shih tzu!
This is why they shouldn't eat cooked meat and bones, grains, vegetables or dairy.

There are human foods that are fine for dogs (mine gets them every day in addition to his normal dog food), but most table scraps aren't because they have stuff on them that is bad for dogs. For example, peas and carrots are very good - but not canned. There's too much sodium (salt) and that's bad for dogs. Use fresh or frozen. On the turkey, if it's white meat turkey with NO SKIN this is ok, but be aware smaller dogs have problems if there's too much fat in their diet. So just a plain piece of white. Cheese should almost never be given (again, the issue is fat) unless it's a rare treat or to give meds. But most raw veggies are fine. So is brown rice and sweet potato. But plain - no additives, no spices and always avoid onion in any way shape or form!

We use string cheese for a treat while training. In modoration that is ok. No cooked chicken (bones splinter in dog), grapes, raisons or onions! Carrots, apples, bananas and rice are good for your dog. It's good idea to just feed foods made for dogs so that you don't have to worry.

Corn is not bad for your dog. It's just that what goes in corn, comes out corn. It is an inexpensive filler for cheap dog foods. Cheese will not harm your dog either. I use cheese as a training treat sometimes.
My dogs get veggies added into their dry food at each meal. I also feed them pumpkin(not pie filling), sweet potatoes, bananas, apples, strawberries, melon/cantalope. We keep a bag of baby carrots in the fridge just for the dogs. All 4 love them. Makes for a low fat treat that they can have lots of.

Fruit, meat, vegetables, and rice are allright for dogs. Don't give them salt either because that's bad for their stomachs, or avocado pits of skins. This gives them digestion problems. Some things are too rich too, but occasionally these are ok

All table foods are bad for dogs. Ask your vet to recommend an appropriate food.

Well I know grapes are bad and the other stuff you said, I've never heard cheese is bad, but I will trust you that it is. I also know corn cobs are bad because they can plug the intestines if swallowed, but not sure about the corn itself.

Whenever our dog got *ahem* constipated, usually from eating a sock, we'd give him plain boiled chicken breast and rice, so those are also ok to give on occasion.
