A Christian is a Christian regardless of any other label.

Practicing homosexuals are not by definition Christians. However it is harder to be a Chrsitian than a homosexual because Chrsitians through strength in the power of the Holy Spirit must control the lust of the flesh. Homosexuals in weakness cave in to the lust of the flesh and practice this perverse abomination. To be a Christian is no cake walk, but the rerwards can not be beat.

You might as well ask

Is it harder to be a Christian who has a problem with lying than a truthful one?

Is it harder to be a Christian who tends to be selfish than a giving one?

Is it harder to be a Christian who desires an adulterous affair than a faithful one?

Proclivity to sin isn't sin.

The action of engaging in homosexual behavior is sin.

So, it is harder to be a gay Christian because you cannot engage in what you claim to be your proclivity without sinning.

And it is harder to be a Christian who desires to have an adulterous affair than a faithful one...BUT God can help you get rid of the proclivity and give you a new heart so that you don't have the desire to sin.

Gay Christian? Something don't jive there. Christianity does not condone homosexuality or tolerate it as far as I know. If there were any gay Christians in my church they would certainly have a tough time. Maybe not so much with church members individually but as a congregation it is something we as a hole are against. You can love the sinner but you don't have to love the sin.

I should think it would be harder to be a gay Christian. Straights fit the expectation of "family values" much more easily. Many Christians would expect a gay person to be celibate. Like Catholic priests, right?

Probably a gay christian because of the heavy oppression they will face in the church community.Based on some of these answers I have a point.

Hmmmmm

Well I would say, that since Sodom was destroyed for it's wickedness and homosexuality was a part of that. I really find it hard to believe someone who is a homosexual could believe that their acts are permissible in the sight of God.

I can't make you see it, but if you read Genesis 19 maybe it will help.

Christians hate gays, so obviously most gays aren't very welcome in the religious community. They think it's some kind of "sinful, immoral action." How loving and tolerant they are! How very "Christ-like" of them.
