There is no one, with out sin, if they say so, they are lying, and the truth is not in them.
We all have sin and came short, the glory of God, We all have to repent, and come to God in Jesus's name, ask and receive His grace. Being a flesh and blood mortal you will sin, Satan will see to it. When you are saved, God will sent you a comforter(spirit), to help you resist Satan. God will continue forgiven you of your sin, Just come to His and ask. for His forgiveness. You need God forgiveness, for with out it you are doomed.

Here's the first problem
How do you define what a good person is? Each person's interpretation of what makes a person a "good" person is very different. One person may say that if they don't kill, break the law, or hurt anyone, they are a good person. But yet that person may say it's okay to do something that another person will disagree with.
So, why do we need forgiveness. Because everyone has done something at least one time that caused hurt feelings or harmed someone. So, even if you have done this one time, you need forgiveness for that one issue.

We need forgiveness for the pride of thinking we are good.
Good is relative based on what we are using as a standard.
The ten commandments are the standard given to us. They are still the standard today not to make us righteous but to show us we need forgiveness. This is Pauls whole argument in the book of Romans.
Most people don't know them. Read them or think they apply today. Then there are those who thing they can be changed into the ten suggestions.
What do you think?

yes, because i can never be good enough. There is a song that i love and there is a verse that says, Its still the Cross , its still the blood of Calvary ,that cleanses sin and sets the captives free, its still the name, the name of JESUS, that has power to save the lost...Its STILL the CROSS. Oh yes!I need forgiveness.

What are you calling a good person? your standard of good and God's standard of good are probably two different things. the Bible tells us that no one is good. Not one. We are all in need of forgiveness, and all in need of a Savior. Jesus is the only One who is good. He is the ONLY way into Heaven. We were all born sinners. And being "good" doesn't get you into heaven. Only the grace of God does.

If you are truly "good" then you must be honest as well.
God is Holy and righteous..and to present yourself before God, you must be the same. Do you really think you, or any other person, can meet that criteria?
That is why God came to earth, clothed in flesh and called himself Jesus Christ, that through his sacrifice for our sins..we could come to the throne of God without shame.
So be a good..truly good person..and be born again!!

Yes. Forgiveness is not for the good, but the bad we do, or for the good things we should do and don't. No one is perfect except Christ so we all need forgiveness for something.

If you don’t stop completely at a stop sign and the police sees you, you still have to go to court and pay the penalty. If you ever thought you were better than someone else, that’s transgressing (i.e., sinning) against God’s laws. Payment is due. You either receive forgiveness from God or pay for it yourself. Everyone sins, therefore everyone needs forgiveness. God bless.

So what is a good person like, whose standard we are using and who we are comparing to? When Jesus is the standard of goodness, we humbly can admit that we all need mercy for our salvation. All forgiven people will go to heaven, but not all good people by their own standard.
