The pink car was for the Breast Cancer Awareness month if you noticed the M&M's car was also pink for the same reason. They had their usual sponsors just the car color changed

I'm a fan of Bobby Labonte, but i think that the reason as to why he left Joe Gibbs Racing at the end of the 2005 season was because they were putting all the effort and resourses into Tony Stewert.

Breast Cancer Awareness...Susan G. Koman foundation sponsor. I don't think there is any more pressure to prove himself in a 'pink' car. I doubt that he has any insecurities about his masculinity! After all, pink was for boys and blue for girls, in ancient times.

He was supporting breast cancer awareness. There was another car with pink on it too, but it escapes me now. They also handed out pink m&m's in the autograph session. He will not regularly be driving a pink car.

you now know the reason, and David Gilliland was the other guy.
I think ol' Bobby is pretty secure in his manhood and doesn't care what people think of it. I think his wife Donna and his two kids will vouch for his masculinity.
I was really hoping he'd pull out the win.
