i have been on 4 diff rx's. i feel like my doctor doesn't believe me when i say, it worked but now it doesn't. for every pill my symptoms would go away until about a month later they'd return... in some cases worse. being that iv tried many diff pills... is this something that can't be treated? if so how am i suppose to figure out what will help me aside from trying every pill known to man. im tired of being called anti social and being angry/sad. any suggestions. ppl who believe depression is just a person not accepting the harsh reality of life... need not respond :)

If you feel your doctor isn't giving proper care, go to another one. It can take several rounds of different meds and dosages to find what works for you. Don't stop taking your meds, just go to another doctor, take a list of all that you have taken, are taking, and your symptoms, that will help her/him better diagnose you and present you with options for your treatment. Good luck to you.

I've had the same problem of not feeling like a doctor is believing me, and I'm still going through trying to find the right medications or mix of them. You do need to find a new doctor if they're not giving you the care you need. It can be hard to find a new doctor, at least it was for me, but my new one is so much better than the last many I've seen that it was well worth the pain of looking. I hope things get better for you!

Talk to people with the same interests. Find good friends who you can "bother" when you need it. Don't allow yourself to be depressed all day though cos that turns people away plus it gets you feeling worse. If not, find professional help--somebody who'll hear you out.

The trick is not to isolate yourself from the rest of the world and keep your problems to yourself. Be active. If life's really tough right now, see it as a chance to grow and develop yourself.

Don't seek comfort in momentary pleasures, they'll only make things worse when you start relying on them.

Life isn't really too bad if you think about it. Some things will weigh you down but step back and see things from another perspective. Seek the small pleasures, let go of the things you can't control.

Remember that you're still alive and the best of us need only ask for that much (the rest they work for on their own)...

Don't worry about your depression too much. Things get better.=)
