By treating others as you would have them treat you. Pure and simple.
Peace!

Yes you can. Try thinking of yourself as a good ,moral Christian. Practice being good and moral. Don't give up. All Chrsitians have the same problem , none of us gets everything fixed at the first try. Keep working on it, God knows you are trying and will help you along. Paul said it is not to those who start the race that the prize goes , but to those who finish the race . Hang in there brother, Jesus wants you to finish the race and in fact win it!

No man, with the exception of Jesus Himself, is without sin.
Read the story of King David. God called him 'a man after my own heart'. Yet David saw a woman on a rooftop and lusted after her so greatly that he got her pregnant and then had her husband killed.
What made David a man after God's heart is his repentance. When told of his sin, he immediately repented and turned to God for forgiveness.
No human being can be totally free of sin while in this world. We can only repent and endeavor not to repeat what we do. We fail, repent, and are forgiven through the blood of Jesus over and over, minute by minute.
Accept the forgiving blood of Jesus, keep trying, love Him with all your heart. He loves you with all His life!

Follow the Ten Commandments. It's hard staying away from sin because it's everywhere. We have to have and keep the will power to follow the bible in it's entirety.

The way to do it is to find a fellow Christian that you have come to trust and respect and then periodically meet with that person and let that person hold you responsible and accountable. It is really tough to confess our sinful actions in front of anyone, but it is necessary.

Please read this even thou it is long.I want you to believe in what i say because I'm going through what you are going through, and I have read about salvation and true christianity.I will tell you the secret to a true christian walk with Jesus :
First, you need to realize that the only thing you can do to be saved is accept the invitation : come to Jesus , the way you are. Never wait to feel like it; don't trust your feelings, just go to God right now and tell him that you come to him the way you are. Don't try to change yourself, you will always fail. The reason you fail is because you are focusing on your behavior.
Realize that you have only two choices. Either you live for God or for Satan. That's true. There is no middle ground. Either God lives in you or Satan. You can never say I am in control of myself, because you are a created being, not the creator. Once you realize this, surrender your mind everyday to Jesus.
Next, seek God . Maybe you don't like reading the Bible, find it boring, or you aren't interested in God. Maybe you are just seeking God because you are afraid of losing your salvation. Don't be disappointed. WE are all sinful and our motives are sinful. Continue on seeking God. Read the Bible everyday and pray to God. Even if it seems grudgery, do it. Don't wait for a feeling to come, God will do it for you.
Now, as you read your Bible and pray everyday -that's where so many people give up- because they notice that they continue to sin maybe commit even greater sins than they did before coming to Christ. Don't do the same mistake. Don't look at your behavior. Don't expect it to improve overnight. Continue to seek God and read the next step.
As you seek God, you will realize your sinfulness and will feel tempted to give up. I have written so much sorry, if you want more info, just tell me. I will be so happy to help you because I know how you must feel.
Let me tell you the happy part. As you continue to read the Bible and seek God, after realizing your sinfulness and need of Him , you will look more and more to God and lose sight of your behavior. You will stop looking to yourself and as you look only to God, sin will be less and less part of your life. God will live in you and as He lives in you He will change your heart so you will be born again. You will bee given a new heart. Remember if God lives in you then HE will fight sin for you, you will not. The fight of sin is NOT ours to fight. If you invite God to live inside you HE will fight sin for you, because you can't fight sin. The "fight" that is ours to fight is that of coming to Jesus everyday and surrendering ourselves to Him and developing a relationship with HIm.

If you have asked Christ into your heart and believe at Christ died for you then you are saved. That doesn't mean you will automatically be cured from sinning. None of us are. If we were then Christ died needlessly. He died for sinners to save us because we were unable to save ourselves. Keep striving to be the best you can be and let God take care of the rest

Did you know the apostle Paul had this problem:
Rom 7:
8: But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
9: For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10: And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11: For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
15: For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16: If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17: Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18: For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19: For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20: Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21: I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22: For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
What was his answer to this, and yours?
1Cor:15:31: ... I die daily.
Because:
Rom:6:6: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
So that:
Gal:2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
The 1st secret to this is here:
Rom:6:11: Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The word reckon is the also defined as account. You must believe you died on the cross with Jesus. A dead man cannot sin.
2ndly you need reserection power.
2Cor:5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
3rdly you need the baptism of the Holy Spirit for power over evil and to be a good witness:
Acts 1: MKJV
8 But you shall receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you. And you shall be witnesses to Me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

There is nothing wrong with you. The important thing is you know you have done something wrong and are sorry for it.
What I do is replace the sinful thing I do with something God likes.
