My husband is coming home from a deployment. I've spent the entire deployment redoing our house, rearranging furniture, taking care of the yard and cars, taking care of our toddler (and our unborn child), going through tons of boxes that were in storage, doing AAAALLLL of that laundry that was in those boxes (approx. 25 loads in the past 3 days) etc..etc..etc.. just to make sure he has NOTHING to do when he gets home. I want to spend time with him because 2 weeks after he gets home he goes back to working 13 hour days. I've missed him so much and now he'll be back in 6 days. I'm so happy but I've lost all motivation with the house. My back hurts, and in the past 2 days my toddler has emptied a 3lb box of pancake mix, a small plastic aquarium full of crickets and umpteen loads of clean laundry on the floor. LOL. Uggghhhh....What can I do to get my groove back? I was doing so well.....

I'll take a break when he's home and cuddling with me in his recliner!! =)
I can keep going, I think I just needed to sit and do nothing for an hour or so.

Take a break! I too am a military wife and know what it's like wanting everything to be perfect for the husband's return(minus the children). It sounds like you've been busy though. Is there anybody that can watch your toddler for a day? Or even a couple of hours? It sounds like you need some time to yourself. Good luck and I'm happy your husband is coming back safe and sound. :)

Right after your toddler is in bed...take a bath and don't look at your belly, it'll only depress you LOL. I've been there, done that, 3 months ago actually, at 8 months pregnant. Paint your nails and toenails and pluck your eyebrows...if your husband is about to be home, you'll want those done anyway...massage lotion into your feet and then stretch out your back. After that, put your feet up and , then go to bed early. You'll wake up feeling fine and ready to go again.

It will all come together when you see him step off that plane.
Also don't stress. He isn't expecting to come to a perfect house. He just wants to spend some down time with you and the kids.

you need a break! Tomorrow, spend all day just watching tv and eating. Get back to the housework the day after!

that is tough! I sure couldnt' do all of that while pregnant! That is amazing that you have energy like that. I would reward myself! Everytime you reach a goal of something you want done.. I would do something to pamper yourself..
