You know I do not mind them disagreeing with Catholicism. I just get annoyed by their lies about Catholicism. I rarely see a post here where they disagree with a true belief or practice of Christ's Church. It certainly appears that they lie intentionally as they are told time and time again that what they believe Catholics believe or practice just is not so. Lord have mercy on these pathological liars.
In Christ

I have to go against the grain on this one. I can imagine how you feel if you deal with some arrogant anti-Catholic but I don't feel the same way.
To be honest my best friend is a pentecostal and we talk about God all the time. I feel closer to pentecostals than the groups you mentioned because their beliefs are more similar.
The fundies who don't realize how similar Catholic beliefs are to their's I just consider silly. The term shooting yourself in the foot comes to mind when you attack your Christian brothers and sisters which is what they are doing. They make Christians a laughing stock among atheists who might otherwise consider converting. They also don't normally know what they are talking about. They condemn Catholics for minor variations in belief or beliefs that Catholics don't really hold. Like I said I dismiss those ones as silly but not all are like that.

It's a matter of honesty.
At least the other guys came up with their own belief system ... different name and all.
The protestants actually invented a whole new religion around the 15th century, based on stuff that no one ever believed or taught before, and then they tried to proclaim it as authentic Christianity.
They're still inventing new and innovative beliefs to this day ... and calling it God's honest truth.
The only other guys who've tried that kind of "big lie" stuff were the nazis and the communists.
At least the nazis and communists had only a few variations. The protestants are up to 50,000 and counting.
Where will it all end?

Pastor Billy says: yes, sometimes yes I do. Perhaps it's because these other communities are not as void of reason as Evangelicism has become. Oh don't fool yourself Evangelicalism is the new name for Fundamentalism as many Fundamentalist Protestant groups first established in the early 20th century now go by the title "Evangelical"

Yes..........sometimes.
I don't like it when I see a question referring to Protastants. It should be phrased, non-Catholic. As I was brought up Protestesnt and converted to Catholicism, I never heard any remarks against any other faith or non-faith.
Gospel According to Saint Matthew
Chapter 7
13 Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in thereat.

Yes, I feel that way some times.
Sadly, the atheists, agnostics, buddhists, and muslims show more of the love and compassion of Christ that the non-Catholic Christians here.

Hmmm... I dunno. Some of the Atheists on here are pretty hard to get along with. But at least they don't blatantly LIE about what we believe. The Fundamentalists do. Oh, and plus, because the Atheists don't believe in God, at least they are not constantly telling us that we are going to Hell. THAT drives me crazy about the Fundies. Since when are they the Judge?

Yes. Especially on here, I have noticed the insanity of the fundies. They deny that Catholics, Mormons, and Jehovah's Witnesses are Christian.
I just find it funny that so many of them are so ignorant of their own ideology.
EDIT
Bobby,
Ummm... Since Catholicism is the first true Christian Church, then wouldn't any Protestants (ie non Catholic) be false? And it is the first apostolic church. If you don't think so, then you know nothing of Christianity. And just because you don't believe so, doesn't make it so.

Catholics and Protestants have a troubled relationship historically I think. Like those distant cousins you see only at major holidays and peacefully co-exist even though you don't really like each other all that well.
I don't think we were ever called into deep friendships with everyone and I always liked Paul's admonition in Romans - "If at all possible - as much as it depends on you - live at peace with everyone."
Big difference between "liking" someone and "living at peace" with them!

I'm more comfortable with a person with an open mind, and some atheists tend to be more open-minded than Bible-fundamentalists. I appreciate an open-mind, it doesn't necessarily mean that person has to be an atheist.
