Does your son want to be a tooth? You didn't specify and age so I'm assuming he's older. If he's an infant or toddler then you could just tape or draw a tooth on the front of white sweatshirt.
Here's how I would make the costume:
Have it so a cut out of the tooth hands on both sides of his body so that no matter which way you are looking at it he appears to be a tooth.
Purchase the following
1. white sweatsuit
2. Two large flat pieces of cardboard or poster board might work if he doesn't have to wear it too long.
3. 2 additional pieces of white poster board.
4. wide band elastic and stick on velcro
To assemble:
* Draw shape of tooth on the poster boards and cut out.
* Cover cardboard or other white poster board with tooth shapes. Make sure under piece doesn't show.
* Attach vecro (place on each side about where shoulders would be both on the piece to be worn in front and the piece to be worn in back.
* Attach another piece of velcro at waist area on both sides and both pieces
* Measure elastic so that it extend up from the velcro and over the shoulder to where you placed other velcro piece then cut.
* Place opposite velcro pieces to end of elastic (do this also for the waist area).
You can even paint his face white, put on a white hat and gloves if you want to go that far.
Walla! Easy tooth costume!

lol thats a really unique idea i'm sure no one will take it so sure! By the way how old is your son. I mean this idea will only be cute if hes like 5 or younger. Ask him about it and see if he wants to first. But.. creative mind!
unfortunetly i have no idea on how to make a tooth costume sorry..
i'd say use white sheets. but then people would just think he's a ghost.

If they are both little ones (or at least the boy is a little one) I think this would be cute but for heaven's sake, DON'T use a trash bag!!
Use poster board or a box painted white and shaped into a tooth shape, I'd probably add a filling so people "get" it.
Stop by your dentists office - they might have an idea!

You should make a cardboard mold then get some white fabric for the outside, lots of padding. For the inside I would buy white sweat shirt and sweatpants and sew them in because it will only be worn once anyhow. You could just cut a tooth pattern out of the cardboard and sew the white fabric around 2 pieces, strings on top and side and wear it over white sweats.

that is the cutest idea I ever heard of!
The easiest way to make the tooth costume is paper mache. But it could be time consuming.
I would us a box with a hole for his face and arms, and the make the shape of the top of the tooth, the molar part, with paper mache (you know, newpaper, and flour and water as glue) then paint it white. Then dress him in white, and voila!
That's a great idea. Is he small?

I would say find on old white sheet that you dont mind cutting up or a white garbage bag. Draw the shape of a tooth big enough to go from your sons chest to his knees on 2 peices of cardboard (one for the front and one for the back) and glue the sheet/garbage bag to the cardboard and attach 2 peices of material (like suspenders) to the boards so he can wear then on his shoulders (like a snadwich board). I would also have him wear a white sweatsuit to keep the color distractions low! GREAT idea!!!

Great idea and if he doesn't like it because it’s not scary or something similar, it can have a cavity and be a bit gory.
It could be as simple as cardboard cut to shape then painted with a couple of belts to hold it on over the shoulders. Probably should re-enforce where the straps go.

Cardboard or poster board cut out like a tooth and then we put string through it on the sides to hold it together. Unless you know someone who sews that would be cute too. Let him carry a giant toothbrush.

Maybe a lot of white foam and white paper. Maybe u could find a pic or make up ur own of a tooth, cut it out, and make sure ur son can fit in it. I think they'll look adorable together!
