I personally like the TFT because they are small dogs with huge personalities.
They're extremely loyal... and in my opinion, hilarious. They're like little comics.

The Toy Fox Terrier may be small, but this is a tuff little terrier that retains all the passion of its Fox Terrier ancestors. This dog thinks he is big! The breed is tough and bright, but stubborn. Curious and active, the terrier keeps its young spirit throughout its life. They are intelligent, loving, sensitive and happy. It is very alert, inquisitive and quick. This is a companion dog that will fight mice and small animals. Affectionate and very loyal. This breed is an intelligent trainable dog.

Terriers of any kind are not really for the first time dog owner. They are high energy, can be difficult to train, are not good with small furry animals (cats or rodents) and usually are not the best with children. These dogs may be small, but they are a lot of work. You have to have patience, be willing to train, take the dog for daily runs and be consistant. These are the type of dogs that need some sort of job. So many unsuspecting people get these dogs because they are cute and don't realize all the work they are. I would go through a breed rescue or shelter in your area.

http://www.dogbreedinfo.com is the best website to learn about all different dog breeds. I love this website. My professor introduced me to it when we had to learn all the different dog breeds in order to become a veterinary technician. Another website you can look at is http://www.AKC.org But this only has the AKC registered breeds. Dogbreedinfo.com has ALL breeds.
