No-one really knows, because like you said, no one was alive back then. According to His Holy Word, God has always existed, exists and will always exist. I guess we're just little blips in the linear timeline.
But, aside from the God who is "I AM" who is the Savior, other gods (lower case g) have been created.
When most of the known world was Greek, there was heavy mysticism and polytheism. They did not understand how science worked and what caused natural phenomenons. They understood these phenomenons only as a response from a god like power. Therefore they assumed there to be a god of every single thing. A god of thunder, a god of grain, even to cover all their bases, they made an altar to "the unknown god" just so that the specific god would not do them any harm for not worshipping.
So did someone invent God? We won't know till we die. But have gods been invented? Unfortunatly to the misdirection of many, yes.

I believe in god. I believe in Jehova (christian god) and Allah (islam god). right now i'm in the middle of conversion., so i kinda believe in both.

go out side, breath the air, take a look around.smell that? it's called life, and they god for giving it to us, without him, we wouldn't be here to eat candy, play games, read books, laugh about a joke or anything. stick a hand over a fire, feel that? that's what your gonna feel through you whole body if you don't get right!

Alright, i'm not trying to be pushy,, but i'm kinda in the middle of a religion and emotional battle, myself so, i'm kinda snippy since i can't make up my own mind, sorry.

Yes men did. All gods are man made concepts.

As for the existing outside time thing that would mean that time wouldn't exist.

God has been living and the one who created the world and he was not invented....He was the inventer the only reason you think he was invented is because we got to this earth because of are paren'ts but i pretty sure God doesn't have parent's.

No..... Most have... " BLOCKED GOD ! "

Or at least have TRIED TO.... till Judgment Day....!

(Romans 1:18-19-20) For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

(Rom 1:19) because the thing which may be known of God is clearly revealed within them, for God revealed it to them.

(Rom 1:20) For the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being realized by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse.

Thanks for Asking! RR

I don't what the "back them" means since God exists outside of time. Or "inventing". The concept emerged gradually in tandem with the development of civilization and seems to decline in tandem with the decline of culture. The two are interelated.

Who invented God you ask?

I don't know for sure. Probably the same person who invented love, joy, peace and hope.

If nobody was alive then nobody invented him.

However, Christianity started a little after 0 B.C.E. so yeah, god was invented.
