in al honesty i dont think it has to do with race per se...I have dated outside my race and in my race as well and what I have learnt is its not the color of the person's skin but the qualities they possess and if you click with them. So as much as I have dated outside my race it was the character of that person that attracted me to them than the color of their skin

Why not? I guess it gives me a sense of having something different, not being used to the same thing. I like it, I have no regrets about it. I like Hispanic and Asian girls for some reason. I have nothing against black girls, its just that most of the ones I am around don't interest me or are interested in me. Plus the Hispanic and Asian girls find me more attractive, which I see nothing wrong with. Also I find it being easier to talk to girls of these races for some reason that can't be described.

I went to college with a high population of minority students. As a result, I met lots of people who were different races, religions, etc. Basically, I see people as people, so if I like a person, I'll date them. I'm White and started dating my Chinese-American husband when we were in college because he was cute, smart, and a nice guy. Simple as that :-)

Well, I'm mixed, and my boyfriends have always been black or mixed. I dont know why...it's just what I'm attracted to. I've thought white guys are cute, but I dont think about race when it comes to dating. I date a person because of their personality.

I'd say it's genetic, I'm probably partly wrong cause I'm no scientist, but I once saw an experiment on TV, that showed that you are most likely to find the scent of someone who's immune system is more protective against virus's that you haven't been exposed too more attractive.
I'd say it's possibly something similar to that.

With my current boyfriend it just happened that way. But everyone else I've dated has been Latin or at least half. I'm generally attracted to that skin tone, but can appreciate beauty in all races.

Xenophilia. I think it runs in the family -- we are attracted to the exotic. On my dad's side, we have Filipinos mixing with Chinese, while on my mom's side, we have Czechs, Germans, English and Irish. After my parents divorced, my mom married an Egyptian, then separated and now has a Mexican.

When I dated a guy from a different race I never paid attention to his race.
He was just someone I liked and had fun with....after college we just drifted apart....and now we're very good friends.
