Was he a lampstand that poured forth the golden oil? Was he one of the 7 lampstands that stood before the throne of god?

Could have been anything, try going 40 days fasting and you will see about anything too!!

What difference does it really make? Its mythical and there is not way to know for sure, so your best bet is to ask your own personal Church if you go to one or Synagogue if your Jewish and ask a Rabbi.

Good luck getting an answer!!

I seem to remember someone explained this as God's "shekinah glory". Actually, you won't find the words "Shekinah Glory" written in our English Bibles anywhere per se. The Hebrew word "shaw-kan´" literally means "to inhabit or dwell." It is used in Exodus 40:35, "And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle." The Hebrew word used in that verse for "abode" is "shaw-kan´," hence, "Shekinah Glory."

Ex. 34:29-30; Dan. 1:8-16; Acts 6:15; 7:56; 2 Cor. 3:18.
You will notice the common feature of all these passages is the shining face.

Moses had been up in the mount with the Lord and the Lord had spoken with him. Moses had come to see that upon which the eye of the Lord was resting. He had stood by the side of the Lord and he had looked with the Lord's eyes as the Lord brought before him His own vision, and that vision was expressed in the type, in the tabernacle. It all passed before the eye of Moses in the most minute detail. From the ark, out to the Holy Place to the Court and all its contents, and the priesthood and the sacrifices, and he saw what God's eye was resting upon. And by reason of the Lord's speaking to him about that, he became alive with the very glory of the Lord. It is a wonderful thing to recognise that the Lord's glory became imparted to Moses by reason of that which became the common object of their eyes. What the Lord was looking at, Moses was looking at, and as they both looked at it together they shared the same glory.

It wasn't the fasting that caused him to glow - it was when YHVH exposed him to the Kavod ("glory" in English), God's highest form which is pure spirit and is outside of space, time, and heaven as we know it. It says in the Bible that it is death to look upon the "face of God," and many people expressed fear they would die when they were visited by God's messengers, or when YHVH appeared to them (because they were confused and didn't realize God has many different manifestations and the Kavod is only one of them). That form of God, called the Ain Sof ("without end") in Hebrew, is so holy and so pure than anything sinful or unclean even a tiny bit is destroyed in it's presence.

If you read the account in the Bible where Moses asked to see the Kavod, YHVH told him it was a bad idea - even someone of Moses faith and service is not good enough to see the Ain Sof directly. But an arrangement was made for a manifestation of the Kavod to "pass by" and Moses could get a look after it bypassed his location and continued away. If Moses had seen it coming toward him, he would have been fried. All he saw was the retreating "back" of the manifestation, and just that quick peek was enough to have a profound spiritual effect on Moses - he "glowed" due to being in even passing proximity to God's most pure and holy form.

CHRIST did the same thing the number 40 stands for PROBATION biblically speaking this number comes up often in The Bible and for good reason Moses life was split into 3 portions of 40 this number divided his life see his first 40 years second set of 40 years then the last 40 years Deu 34:7 And Moses [was] an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. :) He was a mighty servant for FATHER <><

This account of Moses is in Exodus 34. Moses' face glowed for a while after He came back from being in the presence of the Lord, but after a while it faded.

It didn't have anything to do with fasting, it had to do with him being in the presence of God. And no, he wasn't a lampstand or anything like that.
