Yes. God is only on our side as long as we acknowledge how "intelligently designed" the universe is. If we start saying that things came about on their own, He may feel unappreciated and go support the enemy.

How does that help the terrorists? The reason that we're fighting is because of religion, they think we're all evil Christians who will go to hell. Yes, Americans aren't the best people in the world, but 9/11 was a bit uncalled for.

I am pretty sure that terrorists don't believe in evolution and even if they did, I can't see how it would help them kill people who disagree with them.

Faith and violence are two faces of the same coin. Have you taken any precaution against someone extremely rational? Or are you rightly more concern about someone extremely religious? Which of the two, do you think, is closer to being insane? And what does it take to be convinced that killing "infidels" will bring you the eternal pleasures of the Afterlife, sanity or insanity?
