I've had good luck with highlights. Just go a couple shades lighter than your natural hair and it should blend and look natural. Ask your hair stylist for her recommendation. Don't try to do it yourself.

Highlights work best and can really make a difference. Not blonde though. Do a mixture of medium brown and dark brown. Have the hair dresser do thin wisps of highlight not chunky ones.

Try getting foil highlights and low lights. The combination of your natural hair color plus a light one and a medium color will be pretty. You also don't have to worry about having to color your whole head just highlight it as little or as chunky as you want it. It will liven up your look and accentuate your skin color.

It always best when you highlight that you don't go over to shades lighter than your natural hair. Try those wash in one to try it before getting stuck with it. I would go for a fun color that in season for fall like purple pr red for highlights

I think that a medium brown might work - don't go too light - of course I don't know much on this subject - just my opinion

Use a toner on your hair, sort of like a wash in wash out colour, or you could use a semi-permanent colour.

Wella do a few wash in, wash out hair toners in colours like chestnut, mahoghany, red, etc.

maybe instead of lightening it, you could add some red highlights (nice ones, not trashy). it would definately work with your skin tone!
