Ok, maybe not spiritually injured, but just a little weird, especially when its someone you don't even know. Hey people! I am a nice person even if I am a stinkin' atheist.

It bothers me when someone whom I have never met blocks me, and I don't know why I let it. It's their right, but it does seem a little odd, as if they are expecting me to be rude simply because of my beliefs.

I did manage to get blocked for calling someone a troll, saying that her behavior was despicable, and that I expected no less from her. In telling her that, I assumed I would be blocked. She came through.

I got blocked by a non-Christian who thought it was cruel of me to pose as a fundamentalist Christian. He accused me of being a compulsive liar and a horrible person. All I can say in my defense is that it was satire, I wasn't trying to trick anyone, but especially not non-Christians. I would have apologized, but he's one of those that don't allow any kind of contact.

So yeah, at first I felt bad. Now I think that people who can't take a joke need to see a proctologist and get a stickecotomy.

I've been a bit surprised by it.
I didn't think anyone even noticed me that much...let alone dislike me.
After all, I'm pretty harmless.
Just an old Christian Hippie Grandmother...
Who would not like a cool old lady like me?

*sob, sob*

I'm sure you are a nice person. Do you think a "stinkin' atheist" can get along with a Christian Hippie? (I make GREAT chocolate chip cookies!)

YES! At first I did, then I realized that it was the best thing that ever happened to me! Why? Because when a person blocks you, then you block them & when they change their screen name, you will be able to see that they are a blocked user that has attemped to go into a hiding & attack mode. It is a gift when a person blocks your first. The next move is yours. If you don't make your move, then that person will be harder to find in the future! I'm a FREE THINKER...why limit yourself to Atheism, when there are so many other ISMs to experience!

For the most part, no.

There was one person that I found out blocked me, and I was a little hurt, because it had always seemed that we shared similar viewpoints, and I liked this person and enjoyed reading their questions and answers. But then I think it turned out to be a mistake, because they un-blocked me and added me to their contacts. (Maybe they had accidentally hit the "block user" button when they meant to hit "add to contacts" or something.)

Yeah it does hurt... I found out one my "friends" was blocking me a few years ago, so in responce I completely deleted her azz! Like you said, when its someone you dont even know; you're left thinking what the hell..??? I think its a cowards way of dodging you, they could simply tell you straight up that they arent feeling very chatty right now for whatever reason - I say Screw em, their loss!

The blocking feature along with the reporting feature should be mutually exclusive. Sadly the reporting feature here is not based on trolls, but anti-atheist in nature. If my point is valid, I still get my answer deleted, just because it may (or may not) point out a flaw in the bible or the quran. tsk tsk Y!A!!!

I do not feel hurt, but it feels somehow sad. I have been blocked by people but they are normally people who insult people and then block that person so that they cannot say anything back.
