There is no mention of sacrifice nor any reason to find hidden meanings when God provided skins for Adam and Eve to use as clothing.
There is no reason that God couldn't have produced "skins" without killing anything.
If he was really so limited that he needed a dead animal to get the skins, he could have obtained it outside the Garden of Eden.
The Paradise conditions were inside the Garden of Eden alone. Outside was a wild world that needed to be tamed and cultivated by mankinD.

To add what to what Isaiah said, the animal skin also represented the need for blood sacrifice to cover sin, which is represented in the bible by nakedness.

After Adam and Eve’s introduction to the knowledge of good and evil, they began to realize the consequences of their own transgression. Before, they had dared to stand in God’s presence without fear or shame, for they knew no sin. Now, physically and spiritually, they felt exposed and naked before him, and they longed to hide from his all-seeing eye. Their first reaction was to cover themselves and hide (see Gen. 3:7–8). The Father understood their fear of appearing before him, and in mercy he provided for each of them a garment—a covering of skins (see Gen. 3:21).
Presumably, such skins could not be obtained unless an animal was sacrificed. Was this covering of skins, given by God to man from the beginning of the earth, a typifying of Christ? Might it have been a witness that God himself would provide a covering for his children, all of whom would experience spiritual nakedness—that is, being exposed to his judgmental eye? For through the sacrifice made by Christ, our sins may be covered, if we repent.
Looked at this way, the symbolism of Adam and Eve’s coats of skins teaches of Christ and helps us prepare spiritually, that eventually we may once again dare to stand in the presence of God unashamed.

not only does the coat represent the blood sacrifice of JESUS for the atonement of our sins, but we must also see in this the GRACE of GOD in that ADAM&EVE were unable of their own works to cover their sin. GOD clothed them as we to are clothed in the righteousness of Christ." For there is one GOD, and one mediator between GOD and men,the man CHRIST JESUS. Who will have ALL men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1 TIM. 2:4,5

It was for the "covering" or atoning of their sin. God made the first animal sacrifice to atone for the sin Adam and Eve committed.

It represent the blood sacrifice required because of Adam and Eve's sin.
It therefore represents the Blood shed by Jesus as the ultimate cleansing Power thereof.
Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, died on the cross to save us from our sin, rose the third day to conquer death for us, ascended to heaven to prepare a place for us, and is coming back to get all who believe this.
Will you believe this?
Would you like to go with Jesus when He returns?

GOD Himself killed an Animal and made "Clothes" for Adam and Eve.
That was an example of what GOD was going to do Later On.
See, if GOD isn't Flowing Through You (in the Spiritual Realm) you aint' go no Clothes on! (in the Spirtual Realm!)
Jesus was slain on the Cross.
This made it Possible for us to get our Spirits Recreated (Saved, Born-Again).
After your Saved, GOD is Flowing Through Your Spirit---GOD is LIGHT---now you got some Clothes On!
Garments of LIGHT. (In the Spiritual Realm!)
See?
And no, you cannot see this Light (Glory of GOD) with your Natural Eyes Unless GOD let's you (Open's your Natural Eyes to "See" into the Spiritual Realm)
GOD made it Possible for US to be Clothed with HIMSELF.
Hope this Helps!
Jesus is Lord!

That is a good question, especially considering that there was supposed to be no death in Eden. Many people claim that Adam and Eve were vegetarians as well.
