Not sure I see what you're driving at. If a god came and demonstrated his godhead to me, I'm hardly going to deny it, am I?
The problem with gods is, they're either very shy or not there.

This is my favorite question of the day, and Jay has my favorite answer so far.
Yeah, otherwise I'd be a real stubborn, prideful moron. If there is evidence, you can't deny it, or you must love being right more than you love the truth.
But I'd have to ask it questions, talk about my god with it, and really make sure that it is God. There is a verse that says "Satan appears as an angel of light". There are ways to test if it is evil/a demon.
I wouldn't give up my god easily. I would give Jesus every chance before I switched, because, heck, I'm pretty sure I've been talking to God every day now. It would be quite a shock to discover that everything I know and have believed for years is completely in my imagination, when it seems more real to me than most anything, in my brain, heart, and body.
But God would never do that, because it negates free will. It would be like pointing a gun to a lover's head, and saying, "love, choose, and obey me, or die." Because if God came down like you imagine in this example, you couldn't deny him any more than you can deny the computer you are typing on. Faith can only exist in a system where it is difficult. You choose to seek, and you choose to believe. You will if you WANT TO. Otherwise, there are plenty of distractions and other loves to keep you occupied. That's how the choice works.

There is no way you could tell the difference between this and the manifestation of pure evil, you being human and all.
Consider the appearance of a person from the future, who can do things and create machines you cannot even imagine, but a man, nonetheless. Would this person be God?
Moctezuma beheld the first Europeans, which included men on horseback. He saw one and concluded it was a God. When the man stepped down from the horse, his total perception of the Europeans changed.
In science, we stand on the shoulders of great men. Religion does the same thing, so if you believe your science, what makes it different than religion... something about that flat Earth you used to know and love.

Alot of people claim miracles, but frankly, theres no one coming to my doorstep or any others that will raise the dead from the ground until the return of Christ. God has already come, and His revelation is quite clear, that there will be others who claim his title, but they will be false. I havent heard or seen or will see anyone who was and is like Jesus Christ that claims to be God. They are obviously false if they do claim these falsehoods because they themselves sin, which God does not do. Aethism can't even answer questions of why we are here, why we have morals, why we have reasoning, and where does life come from. Evolution is a theory not a fact. Circumstancial evidence indicates the existence of a God and this can be researched painstakingly. No i would not worship this liar because he himself will show obvious signs of sin, and to pray for the Lord to disprove him will show doubt in my heart which isnt there as you can see.

Well I would be skeptical, especially if the person claimed to be a "new" god and I would want the "miracles" to be verified. Then if everything checked out, it would depend what this "god" wanted, seriously what would an all powerful being want with humans?

this question lacks intensity as each and every of the above serves a diverse objective. you've suggested a veritable device container of things that each and every in that is personal works perfect. to talk with the Lord prayer might want to be perfect. To create concentration an expertise meditation and mantras are eseentially both useful, worship is the perfect for coming up a sense of a community accrued to beauty in a author/savior and that i might want to upload faith because the device to construct a personal courting with that savior/author

why would i have to worship this god? will less people suffer if i do? will more people suffer if i dont? does this god claim to be the creator of the universe, or at least life on earth? can this god be reasoned with? though all-powerful, would this god be all-knowing and wise? this god could be an all-powerful fool. he could be a sadistic overlord. its one thing to be in awe of such a force, but to worship and obey and respect this force would take a lot more than miracles.

Miracles are not enough, because demons can do the same thing. the spirit has to comply to the Holy Scriptures which are thousands of years old.

If some one came to me and said they were god, then showed proof that no one else could ever do, I would probably believe. Untill then, screw it. I can't beleive in something that there is no proof for.
