Eating? Who said anything about eating? By using "eating your kill" as justification implies that you need to personally SHOOT something to eat and survive. SHOOTING is SPORT. We don't need it nowadays to survive.

And using the "euthanasia" reasoning doesn't work either. Why is it ok to put an animal out of its misery but not a human? Another sign of hypocrisy.

ozzy59, that makes a lot of sense: "God left the animals in our care." So, let's shoot them! Yep, makes perfect sense. I'm sure God would be proud.

I want to clarify I'm not talking about the African tribesman who have to hunt with a spear. I'm talking about Americans going to WalMart for bullets and SHOOTING animals with guns.

The sad fact is that the people who hunt defenseless animals are helping those animals immensely. They are controlling the population thereby insuring the remaining population has enough food and it helps control diseases from being spread.
What Michael Vick did was in no way beneficial to pit bulls.
These dogs came into the world innocent and defenseless and he forced them to be fighters or die.
God left the animals in our care.I don't believe for a second that this issue won't come up the day Michael Vick has to stand in judgement and I know that Gods justice is far harsher than mans.

. I don't hunt of course cause its beyond me but I have no problems with people hunting when its for FOOD, not just too shoot something. I can't be around it either cause I think of the animals feelings. I've seen the light come out of two many sick animals to watch a healthy one getting shot.

There is a huge difference between making animals fight and leaving them to die slow deaths, and shooting an animal so it has a quick death. The vast majority of hunters eat with they kill, so the animal doesn't lose its life in vain, either.

Without hunters, the populations of many animals would explode, causes the animals to be diseased and die off that way. Also, overpopulation can cause issues for humans too, such as more animal/automobile incidents. The natural predators in many areas have been pushed out by humans, so the population needs regulated by hunting.

You are talking about 2 completely different things. A responsible hunter tries for a "clean" kill - he goes out of his way to not make the animal suffer. It is for food, and animal control in some cases. Not quite the same thing as having dogs fighting to the death - and electrocuting and torturing those that are not "fit" enough.

searching isn't as black and white as that. Poaching, the killing of animals with out authorities authorization, isn't ok and is as undesirable as what Michael Vick did. authorities licensed searching isn't undesirable because it helps poulation administration. study up on the experts of searching and the that technique of inhabitants administration in reguards to searching. also, i do not comprehend everybody that hunts only for sport. the beef is continually eaten and that is oftentimes a lot in good structure than pork. i have been round searching my finished existence.

i am not sure what defenseless animals you speak of.my opinion is what humans make pets of is not ok.however in other cultures-for instance in the phillpines it's ok to raise.shoot roast and eat dogs.seen some programs=offensive to me- in india us u.s. citizens eating beef is offensive to their religion- to the jewish eating pork is offensive.to vegertarians, eating eggs is ok but not the chicken or eating cheese is ok but the cow is not ok.in biblical terms god in genesis said HE gave his people the fish, the fowl and all the beasts of the land to eat.so according to religion, beliefs, personal issues each person has to make that choice.personally i feel if each person had to raise the animal they would kill and then eat that which they had raised =vegatables would look alot better . i read recently humans do not need animal protein to live.interesting!would a person in the u.s raise a dog to eat? very unlikely don't you think?you may be speaking of wild animals and that's another topic in itself.

I hunt , my entire family hunts, how a dog fight can even be compared to hunting is beyond me, it just sounds like more peta related bs to me. sure...let the herd grow..let them starve to death and die slow painful deaths due to hunger and disease, but don't dare put a bullet in one and let it die quickly and be used for food, while you go to the grocery store and buy beef that was killed with a hammer, or a shotgun blast at close range, thats fine. just a little dies note here..slaughterhouse animals arent killed that quickly they prefer they "bleed out" so they want he heart to pump for a bit before they actually die..think about that next time you go to the grocery store to buy meat while bashing on hunters who shoot to kill. If it makes me a hypocrite to want to know whats in my meat and where it came from instead of blindly eating the chemical laced crap in the stores then just call me miss hypocrite because ill be that way for life.

Do you nothing but veggie. If not are you a hypocrite. If a person is eating what they shoot I have no problem. We are made to eat meat. I have 2 older Nieces one eats meat one dose not the one that eats meat is healthy needs to take no supplements at all not even when she was pregnant. The one who eats nothing but veggie as all kind of problems. I had a uncle, that is greatx2 uncle, who died well over 100 years. He ate a steak everyday of his lfe.

Shooting defenseless animals is okay if you plan on eating them, just like animals kill other animals for food. Killing for sport is wrong, dog fighting is wrong.

when u hunt u r actually helping control the population of deer and other wild animals. the more deer and other animals there r, the more resources they use, and the less trees and grass and everything there is in the environment. when u fight dogs ur lining ur pockets with cash. dogs look to u for protection. deer run from u. dogs r domestic. deer r wild. there is a difference. dog r dependent on u. u support them. without us they wouldnt be able to live. deer dont need us to live by themselves on their own in the wild. the deer population is terrible. if we didnt hunt it would be even worse. some people even hunt to feed their families. when u fight dogs ur feeding ur walet.
