There isn't a grain-free wet food to be found at a grocery store...

If your cat needs a specific type of food, get a vet recommendation...

Grocery stores are out, as is Petsmart. You may find some good stuff at organic stores. Here in Milwaukee we have Outpost and Whole Foods - I don't know if you have those in your area but I'm sure there's something. I personally recommend By Nature Organics or Nature's Variety Instincts (not Prairie). I have begun transitioning my two to these. I chose them because they are both completely grainless. BNO is about 150 calories per 6oz can, which will be great for Poppy who still needs to lose weight. NVI varies depending on which type of meat you get, but they are right around 250 per 6oz can, which isn't bad. Another good thing about the NVI is that they use "novel" protein sources - duck, lamb, rabbit, venison and one or two others, I forget which. The advantage is that cats who tend to have "sensitive" systems may do well on one or more of these. I've done tons of research and these are the ones I decided upon. There are other good ones too - see the What to Feed link below. You can go to the websites and use their link to find out where they're sold in your area - a very handy tool! I almost forgot to mention - some of these may make dry foods as well. You should be able to find that on their websites. But here too I would stick with the grainless - there are three out there now that I know of. Wellness Core, Innova Evo and Nature's Variety (I think....) Raw Instincts.

Sadly, none. I keep looking because I hate the inconvenience of making a special trip to a specialty pet store. Best to keep doing that or ordering on line if you're looking for the better-ingredient foods. The brands mentioned above are really good ones.

You won't find one at a grocery store. Even the organic markets are iffy, although you can find some decent brands there. You need to go to a pet food store, preferably an independently owned one.

"Grain free" and "Grocery store" don't mix. You'll have to go to a pet supplies store to find good ones. The two I can think of off the top of my head are Natural Life and Evo.

Cans will cost you between 75 cents to $1.09 each.

You can't find any quality foods at a grocery store.

Wellness is grain free.

Other good brands are Innova, Californias Natural, Pinnacle
