Actually they each come in their own amniotic sack not placenta.
They do each have their own placenta as well but they will not be wrapped in it. It is always eaten by the mother dog and rarely if ever seen. The mother removes the amniotic sack and while you are oogling the new pup she eats the amnion and the placenta for that pup.

Each puppy has it's own placenta and umbilical cord. One placenta should be delivered with each pup.

they are each in a placenta, the mother will chew them out of them and try to eat them only let her have a few they are too rich in iron and can be harmful
